Not a problem, we got lots of depth on the backend right now.

If Peckham throws 'em with the boogie man he might be in the same spot tomorrow.

So our backend will be this for the rest of the year.

Gilbert-Whitney
Chorney-Strudwick
Johnson-Peckham

There is no doubt at all now that the Oilers will be getting the first overall pick this year.

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. I think I'll just do both.

That's unbeatable as far as I'm concerned.

It's like we were saying about Gagner's knee. No point in pushing a player we actually care about going forward, so they might as well make sure he's fixed up and healthy. It sounds like he's had this problem since before he was in the NHL.

No doubt. It seems as if this is a fairly major surgery, so best of luck to him.

On the bright side I don't think Toronto can catch us now. Although you never know.

All I can do is laugh. It's not funny at all, but with this team I wouldn't be surprised to hear about some fatal car accident, etc. Anything can happen with these guys. Nothing would surprise me.

So which is the worse blueline?

Gilbert-Whitney
Chorney-Strudwick
Johnson-Peckham

Or, from late 2007:

Smith, Greene (first full season), Smid (rookie), Syvret, Young, Bisaillon, and occasionally Toby Petersen.

This is the worst one.If we did't have Whitney and a rookie instead,I would then say the defence we have right now is worse.

Can't be that much worse then me thinking that in the first place.

Don't get me wrong I am still going to cheer for this team, but it doesn't mean that I can't think the team we are icing is a joke. Realistically us and Toronto should forfeit our remaining games and play a 20 game series for a bucket of chicken.

umm, only about 48% chance actually, i think. the last several years the last place team chose first, watch this be the year the 29th or 28th seed take the first pick. That would suck but typical of oilers luck. knock on wood.

This thread is gold, but this made me LOL for realz.

With both Grebz and Vish gone I figure Smid called in sick for the rest of the year. I kind of like giving our AHL guys a shot at the big league. Heck let's let Horc call it in for the rest of the season too...

I've been laugh/crying since deadline day...I saw it coming but it still hurts.

So did I....

I bet it's true - I'd say Chorney goes down trying to do too much, cause he's a gamer. Peckham a close second.
