Here's hoping that Nichol has a fast and speedy recovery and back on the ice sooner than later.

I would like to have seen Lapierre get a a couple more games tacked onto his four game suspension; but at least he's out for four games and won't be taking any dirty/cheap shots.

don't mean to sound to bad or mean. but would of been nice if they didn't suspend him just yet .

with there next couple games, would of been nice to have him out there causing trouble for the kings and ducks.

The ducks can burn in hell. But I actually generally root for the Kings. Always have, I dunno why. Just not when it's vs the Sharks.

No it wasn't reviewed. We are waiting for our non-Sharks reviewers to come out of hibernation.

If the Sharks can just wait until after tomorrow to recall someone, I'll be happy. I don't want to see a shorthanded WorSharks squad, especially not one playing without Couture.

The Sharks have 17 healthy skaters. They'll have to recall at least one guy for Saturday's game or skate a guy short, which I don't think they'll do.

Hopefully it's Helminen then. I'm OK with him not being here for the Wor/Abb game. Besides, I don't think Couture needs to be called up to fill Nichol's spot.

sorry but I'll take a shorthanded AHL team over a shorthanded NHL team... I don't care about the little sharks run at the playoffs. In the end who really remembers a team's minor league team winning a championship? WHO CARES.

Well if you're going to the game to see Couture you would probably care ... Also having your youngsters go deep in their playoffs is great for experience.

Actually it is important to those who might be playing for us down the line. The experience they get could be very valuable to the big league club down the line. I just wouldn't dismiss it so quickly. But yes, if we need someone, they need to be brought up.

EDIT: And NH and I are simpatico on this with our almost simultaneous posts.

that's true. I guess I shouldn't completely dismiss it.

I just put the big sharks ahead of the little sharks in priority when we've got a need brought in by injury. 20 games will fly by fast and i'm worried that our bottom 6 being in shambles going down the stretch will really hurt us. Look at what happened when Goc and Grier got injured down the stretch last year, we had no chemistry on those lines when they came back last minute.

They should suspend refs who miss calls like this for the same number of games as the offender.

Habs fans are easily the blindest fans in the league.

Very faithful and loyal to their team, but disgustingly blind when it comes to idiotic play from their own players...oh, and to top it all off, they'll always find another incident that deserves suspension for one of your guys. It's really ****ing sad.

Suspension was well deserved. I doubt we'll hear about it but I'd imagine the referrees that blew the non-call should get reprimanded as well.

Probably should have gotten a few more games, but at least he got that. The fact that he was laughing up on the bench afterwards was ridiculous.

LS, I normally don't dare to disagree with you because you know your facts inside and out, but I feel that I must here.

The score of this game was irrelevant. We did not need two points, what we needed was to send a message that this sort of stuff will no longer be tolerated.

We showed that we aren't going to lose our collective composure by turning the game into a scene from Slap Shot, but rather fight hard, come from behind and win. Sure, it would've been nice if someone went after Lapierre, but we won the game so I'm not gonna complain too much about it.

It's also somewhat difficult to go after someone who had like two shifts in the last 16+ minutes.

Exactly. And there's no point in taking stupid penalties when we were trying to come back in this game and we did.

I am happy to see this guy suspended because it was a dirty play that doesn't belong the in NHL. The fact that he was laughing about it on the bench makes me feel even more happy he got suspended. I didn't see that but if it's true then that's disgusting.
