I wish we could build a time machine to go back to the 08 draft and take Tyler Myers instead of Filatov. How different things would be if we had Myers right now.

Not to hijack this thread, but here are Myers two junior seasons before being drafted in '08

0607 59 GP, 2 G, 13 A, 15 PTS, 78 PIM s
0708 65 GP, 6 G, 13A, 19 PTS, 97 PIMs

Here are Gudbranson's

08-09 63GP, 3G, 19A, 22 PTS, 69 PIMs
09-10 41 GP, 2G, 21 A, 23 PTS, 68 PIMs

Myers was 6' 7" 210 lbs
Gudbranson is 6' 3" 195 lbs

The Sabres lost for the first time all season after leading in the second, Vanek is now injured adding to Hecht and stafford.. not looking good except for Miller. Myers had a goal for that's worth..

Watching that game, I was reminded of how much I dislike Buffalo fans (present company excepted, of course, Robert). Quite a comeback for Boston, on the road and needing to even the series badly. Miller really got hung out to dry on a couple occasions and the Sabres often looked like the Jackets trying to clear the puck out of their zone. Both tenders made some great plays to keep the game close. Nice to see Raffi, again, and I thought he added a lot to the Buffalo fourth line. Don't care much about who wins this, but I don't hate seeing those fans going home disappointed.

That's what she said.

How banged up is Boston's defense that they need to dress McQuaid in a PO game?

There are many good people in that fan group, but you have made your mind up and will ensure the entire board doesn't forget. That said those fans have been disappointed before, Miller is the best thing they have right now, perhaps the only thing. The third period collapse does not bode well for the Sabres.. Torres is going to be needed more now than ever, I hope he helps with a timely goal or two soon.

I'm thinking a 2-2 series tie is the most likely outcome after four games, then back to the friendly confines of HSBC and 20,000 diehards inside and out.

You whine about them doing any "real research" and then you say Jimmy Howard hasn't won a playoff game like it means ANYTHING. Awesome analysis, dude!

Washington--"I'm a mark for whoever the hot offensive team is in any given year. I somehow completely forgot how defense (and goaltending) matters more than offense in the Stanley Cup Playoff since the dawn of man.
Yeah, Washington sucks with their +85 goal differential. But you probably don't consider that "real" research.

Wow. You call analysts lazy then make the SAME statements that every other jackass makes about Detroit/Washington/San Jose. You're a frickin' genius, buddy.

Is there ever a team-themed song that isn't terrible?

"Rock the Ice I'm a true Blue Jackets fan, I love the arena"

The glass bangers are the most annoying people. I can just hear them talking to a friend after the game acting cool..."ya, I was at the Caps game, I was banging the glass pretty hard, im hardcore like that" morons

Well...Montreal/Washington OT didn't take long.

31 seconds: Backstrom. Hattie. Caps win.

Who knows, maybe he's playing through some sort of injury that he might not normally play through because it's the playoffs.

That song is horrible, sucks in fact; the emblem OTH is something else..I've not seen it before. But all will be resolved soon, their going back to the original next season.

The entire East is 1-1 and half of the West with two series at 1-0 at the time of this post... The quarters will be long and league parity is evident.

7 of the 8 are now 1-1, your right TW.

I'm so happy Vancover got beat, the only Canadian team I'm interested in winning is Montreal (unless they play the Buffalo Sabres). Not because of you TW but I've always liked French Canada.
