Aaah, makes perfect sense now! Thanks for the clarification -- I like that the Flyers honour local servicemen and women. They certainly deserve it.

They did show a replay, it was clear it was offside. I never heard the whistle though

Michael Leightons SV% is at .924. As a team we are 10th in the league with GA, 7th with GF, 5th in SA per game, 7th in SF per game, 3rd in PP and 16th in PK.

What if Flyers had a real goaltender?

P.S #1 in minor penalties, #2 in major panalties.

Who sits next game? Powe, Leino or Asham?

I think Asham has been pretty useless the last few games

Instead of a GA average of 2.29, we will have one at 2.00?

It's great to see Gagne banging home some shots from the slot in the last couple games and going to high traffic areas.

I hope he's rounding back into form and heating up. If he keeps on at this pace this year and next, he's more than worth his contract.

And to those who might say I'm being short-sighted and offering up a knee-jerk view of things, I've been saying all year that he'll make up for his lack of production and injuries by bouncing back strong. I figured it'd be next season, but if he wants to continue potting goals throughout this year and into the playoffs, I'll take that, too. Everyone who wants to talk about the big picture should, you know, look at his whole career and tendency to bounce back in a big way. Right now it might just be 4 goals in 4 games, but the man knows how to score - he just needed to get back into it physically and mentally.

Hooray for Gagne. Let's give the man some due credit.

Offside or not, that flip pass to backhand roofjob by Carcillo was a thing of beauty.

Everyone else seemed drunk.

Agreed.... My suggested lines:

Gagne-Richards-Carcillo
JVR-Carter-Leino
Hartnell-Giroux-Briere
Powe-Betts-Lappy

Really great to see Gagne, after Carcillo put it in the net on the offside, rush over and cut Phaneuf off at the pass. Gagne sticking up for Carcillo.

We may have us a team here....

Your avy is wearing my hat.

I agree about Gagne turning it up lately, it's soo essential for this team's success. He looks more like his old self with each game, now he just needs to work on those breakouts.

You say that as if Gagne hasn't done the same thing for most of the last decade.

Sit Hartnell. It's not like he's doing anything. Why he still gets PP time, don't get it. I'd seriously consider buying him out after the season if this keeps up. Or hopefully he'll leave for someone else's problem.

he really didn't fir under Laviolette.

Early season under stevens was his best stretch

For anyone wondering here are his numbers if he were bought out:

2010-2011: $1,233,333
2011-2012: $1,733,333
2012-2013: $2,233,333
2013-2014: $1,233,333
2014-2015: $1,233,333
2015-2016: $1,233,333

I said when Laviolette was hired that Carcillo and Hartnell would have to change their act if they want to make it work. The 4th line gruntworker is, the guy who gets the big pay check is not.

I'm all for buying him out. If we did, what would happen with his NTC? Would if be voided out of his contract?

I was about to post this.

If he was willing to waive his NTC, I think we would be able to move him. We could then bring in a cheaper veteran to play the PP (in front of the net) and have more salary room to work with.

Yea I was wondering why he was getting PP time over guys like Giroux and JVR? I guess to get him going...IMO he looks like he has forgotten how to play hockey.
