I would be so Happy, he's been one of my Favorite Avs since he was traded to us, just wish he could pull a Bergeron and Come back bette then Before! I think if he can come back 100% healthy he has the ability to be a 60-65 Point Winger, and capable of playing on the Point on the PP. Just not sure if he will ever fully come back, fingers are crossed though!

Your fingers must be pretty tired.

Peter Mueller (concussion) was able to fully participate in Monday's practice, but it doesn't sound like he's close to returning.
Mueller still needs to have "good days" in succession. After missing the entire 2010-11 season due to a concussion, Mueller attempted to return for the Avalanche's season opener. Unfortunately, he only lasted three games before he had to stop playing. We'll keep you posted. Nov. 21 - 5:09 pm et

After seeing how the Penguins handled Crosby and how Perron is being handled by the Blues, I hope the avs follow suite with Mueller. Crosby has been practicing a good month full contact before actualy playing, same with Perron he has been practicing but not playing. After reading what Mueller said today and what he has been saying the past couple weeks, I think they are trying to follow that game plan. Let Mueller and Hishon practice a full month(or more) get their condition back into game shape and get comfortable then insert them back in the lineup.

Seriously. It was such an unnecessary hit. End of the season in a meaningless game, at the end of Blake's career. Kings out of the playoffs with just a few games to go, and the Avs just barely in it. He goes for the forearm shiver in the guys back when he's clearly been facing the boards?

How many games does Blake get with this hit in today's NHL? 10? Didn't even get a penalty on the play if I remember right. Changed my view on Blake entirely after that. Absolutely pathetic that he would finish Mueller that hard there in a meaningless game.

Yeah i felt the same way about Blake. Isnt he now on the same disciplinary committee that polices these same kind of hits? No one has called him on it yet however.

I believe that Blake is now Shanny's right-hand man when it comes to dishing out discipline, how ironic.

So does anyone think we will see Mueller play another game in an Avs' uniform?

I am beginning to doubt it.

Yeah, what is his current status? Doubt he returns. Looked like he was done when he came back last time anyway. "out of shape" doesn't cut it, he was working out for a month prior, it's one thing to not be ready for the speed of the game, it's another to have no legs anymore. He was gassed from 25 second shifts, after skating hard for a month. The dude is done.

Right now he's skating with the team but suffered a groin injury in the Bag Skate, how hard he is skating remains to be seen, but he seemed to be putting together a string of hard practices before his groin injury.

I expect him to make another go at it this season before we see what's what.

He'll be back. Be patient guys. These things take time. Look at Crosby, Bergeron, Perron, and Bouchard.

Im not ready to give up on him.

Don't think he would've taken a one year deal. We sure could use him though.

With the Avs' tight internal budget,
it just wasn't possible to retain Flash's service given what Florida ended up paying him...

In my opinion the money wasn't that big problem, but the duration of contract made me immediately say that thank heavens Avs didn't re-sign him.
