I believe all those guys have been out a much shorter time than Mueller.

Honestly, at this point, I'm hoping our concussion guys come back, play out of this world, and we trade them immediately once they have value again.

Honestly that's sounds dickish. Hishon has a one concussion, should evey team trade every player that has got a concussion? Also Bergeron was out for over a year with his biggest concussion, PMB too I think.

Bergeron missed an entire year. Perron missed 13 months, Crosby 10 months, PMB i think was about a year too.

If im not mistaken PMB was out for over 2 years(Could be wrong, but it was very close to two years at least), and Bergeron was out for about the same length Mueller has been out for.

David Perron was out for a nice while to. The Avs jsut need to wait untill he is absoultly 150% recovered and hasnt had any Symptoms for a month or more. Then let him come back, unfortunaly I do think we will see him play again, but it wont be in an Avs uniform.

As for Flash, right now I would be willing to give him 5M to be on the Avs. Him and Duchene together would IMO be doing more then he is with Weiss and Versteeg. That line has been ridiculous all year though.

From what I remember, most of us Avs fans would've been fine with a 2 year contract for about $3M per year. Flash thought he could do better on the open market and he was absolutely correct; given his recurring (and serious) injury issues the contract Florida offered him was ridiculous. Obviously it's working out amazingly well for them so far, but who's to say he doesn't get the blood clots again and miss an entire year? Or his play declines more towards his career average, which is 60ish points a year? Actually now that I look at his career stats, he really only had that one year (51pts in 69 games) where he was putting up top 6 type numbers.

It would've been nice to have been able to re-sign him for a reasonable contract, but even today if I was asked to offer Flash the contract Florida did, I wouldn't do it.

This. I was surprised he got so big contract offer from Panthers. But It looks like it's actually paying off. He's easily worth 4 million or whatever he is paid by the panthers right now.

Mueller's situation is very sad indeed. We could really use him, but he's just not yet good enough fit.

Gosh, he was fire last year, 15 games and 20 points. Damn. He's got very good potential, but this freaking concussion might have ruined his whole career. Please god let him play again at good level..

After two weeks with the groin injury, now it's back to being a "head injury" again. Obviously PCS.

What a mess...

Honestly he should just retire. At this point you know he's not going to play again this year. I have a feeling that he's pushing it too hard while training. Just forget about hockey until you can walk around the block without feeling bad...

Just a question for you guys, did he get injured again? Or is it still related to the concussion?

Bouchard came back and played 1 game, then promptly missed the rest of the season and some more, which really sucks if that's the case for Mueller. Very unfourtunate, I really liked him as a player.

Crosby was listed as out with a head injury until he made a comeback. I don't think we should assume Mueller has gotten worse just because it is classified as a head injury once again.

I don't really have any expectations. If he makes a comeback, fine. If not, we'll survive.

Yeah I think this guy is done. It's too bad. I can't see the Avs re-signing him. If he's still interested in hockey after taking $4 Million dollars from the Avs for 20 games of hockey, I'm sure there will be a team out there to give him a shot.

Considering he's made more money than everyone in this thread combined, I think he'll do ok

i feel bad for the guy. I hope he puts whatever the best decision for his life first. If he could come back, I'd be estatic, but not if he's putting his future on the line.

I know there is still a long road ahead, but Mueller participated in a full practice with the team. Perhaps we will see him again this season.

Hopefully, IMO this team's greatest weakness is on the wings.

A couple more games like that and some time off the IR and the majority of posts in here start looking ridiculous.

I hope he get to stay healthy. He's been through (sports) hell and deserves a break.

Extremely glad to say I was wrong about him. Personally, I don't even care if he doesn't hit anyone and stays away from the rough stuff as long as he can manage to stay healthy. He's been our best forward the past 4 games, in my opinion and has infused the lineup with some much needed skill.

Let's just keep it at "cautiously optismistic" for now.

Don't forget Sidney Crosby's first game back against the Islanders... and look where he is now.

Ugh. If that were to happen I'm not sure he'd stick around. Considering how long he's been out I just can't think that he would want to go on much longer.
