Who's going to Carnival

Sounds corny to me, but I almost feel obligated to go if, for no other other reason, to show my support. I know my attendance has no bearing on whether the team stays, but I think I will make the effort. Anyone else? Bueller, Bueller? Anyone? Bueller? (Suddenly, I miss Mueller.)

I'd like to go down and get my new Hanzal jersey signed, but alas I have other commitments.

It's actually been moved inside the arena because of the chance of rain tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably go but don't have high expectations. I wish they were still doing the thing at dave and busters.

I won't be going mainly because the ones I've been to in the past were not really well run. (except Dave and Busters). I have a real aversion to standing in lines. Even watching the ads for it in the arena just shows long lines. I've always had this issue. But that's my problem.

I do too, but I talked to a couple of people last year asking if they were bringing that back and they said it cost too much to rent out Dave & Busters

Me and my gang of miscreants will be there. Cept the kid, she has to work and boy is she pissed. She was really looking forward to meeting Hanzal.

I'd go but I plan on going to the Vancouver game. I'm just gonna save my money and use the 10 bucks to help pay for my student discount.

We are going

Primarily expecting the lines to be too long for me to want to wait in ... hubby on the other hand has more patience for lines than I do

I want to show support to the team though so for that, I will attend

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a low turnout. After all this is not a county, state, or World's Fare for that matter.

Seeing as how the whole thing was practically on the arena floor.. that's a good amount of people I'd say.

Here are some pics. It was pretty crowded. I wouldnt venture to say how many, but one lady I talked to was about half way thru the line for Doan. Her wait was over 60 minutes. Here are some pics.

I felt bad for Yandle, as he had probably the shortest line, maybe other than Korpikoski and Prucha who had a short line as well, but for a guy who is having a breakout season, it didn't seem like people really remembered/knew who he was. Was disappointed that the donation/autograph thing was changed from "tips" for signatures to $5 to even access the players at all. I was hoping this was the "10 dollar admission and then it was a 1-2 dollar to play a game and for an additional dollar you can get an autograph" type of thing. I was not expecting to spend 50+ dollars just to get autographs let alone stand in long lines. I realize this was for a great cause but maybe next time they should research how much carnivals charge for games and start from there. Either that or when the new owners are approved start doing the Dave & Busters thing again. The best thing about today may have been how much fun it was to see the players having fun and interacting with fans instead of sitting at tables signing for hours on end.

I almost wish that the trade deadline was tomorrow so that there could have been a "Put Mueller in the Dunk Tank" game. Except to encourage a positive attitude for all the kids, you get as many chances as the Coyotes gave Pete to succeed.

My little boy nailed Korpi in the head with a ring from the ring toss. It was good for a laugh.
