I'm thinking that people who vote for Iginla don't understand the question. I'm assuming the poll is asking, who best exemplifies the qualities of a power forward. That would be Todd Bertuzzi. If the question is asking who's the best player who is considered a power forward, I'd vote for Iginla though.

it's confusing because the poll asks "Who is the best power forward in the NHL?", yet the question asked in the topic is "Once and for all, who would YOU want on your team?".

if it's the former, than the answer is Todd Bertuzzi
if it's the latter, the answer is objective, and most likely would be Jarome Iginla (who i would pick anyhow)

There's no question Bertuzzi's a force out there when he plays. The difference between him and Iginla is HEART and DETERMINATION. Iginla has stepped up in the playoffs while Bertuzzi hasn't done that before. I'd take heart and determination over a lazy streaky player any day.

Bertuzzi had 4 points in 4 games against your Avs in 2001 playing with the rookie Sedin twins. The next year against Detroit Bertuzzi at times dominated and won us those first 2 games. Last year....he was playing with a broken wrist but still managed 6 points as well as some nice hits.

Yes, Iginla is showing everyone his heart and passion in these playoffs, but dont think Bertuzzi plays lazy in the playoffs.

Bert is my choice.
Iginla probably is a better pure scorer but Todd is the best power forward in the NHL.

Iggy, but it won't be long before Nash tops this list.

Whoa whoa whoa.. You vote for Jarome (I'm-so-consistent) Iginla, and accuse Thornton of inconsistency? Iginla goes through monstrous streaks, both good and bad!

As a powerforward, Todd Bertuzzi, then Joe Thornton, then Jarome Iginla.

Nash should work on his playmaking skills before we consider him the best powerforward in the NHL.

well... half of those players can't. you can count the powerforwards in this league on one hand.

Forsberg, Hossa, LeClair, Holik, etc aren't powerforwards. they play big, but the true meaning of powerforward has little to do with size.

I think that Thorton is the best but, for my team(Flyers), I would take Iginla because we are stacked at center.

Bertuzzi is hands down the best power forward in the game.

There is no need to make such polls, BTW. We all know whoever has the best recent performances/stats ALWAYS wins the polls. It's a long tradition around here. Why people continue to bother, I don't know...

Your opinion. IMO, Iginla is the better POWER FORWARD.

Yeah really, WTF ?? John Leclair is not a power forward ?? I guess Iginla & Leclair have to take dumb penalties like Thornton & Bertuzzi to be considered power forwards these days.

Exactly!

Actually, I think it's hard to call Iginla a powerforward at this point, given that he is actually, you know, producing in the playoffs.
