Stamkos:
Quote:
"It's definitely nice doing well," Stamkos said. "Heading back to Canada, and especially Toronto, it definitely makes it easier. But I'm not really focused on that part. It's more important for me to focus on the team."

"From what I know, and being around Marty, he'll be in the lineup. He's a leader for us. He just took the day to relax. He'll be ready to go."
Hedman:
Quote:
"Obviously, your confidence is raised when your team is playing well and you feel like stuff you were struggling a bit on is back. It just gives me more confidence with the puck."
Purcell:
Quote:
"It is only two games, and I can't get too excited, but it's definitely a good start," Purcell said. "Just to get back out there and feel confident and part of a team again is real exciting."

LETS GO BOLTS

Need a win bad tonight.

I do have a feeling we're gonna see some great things from Vinny's line tonight though.

What's going on with Smaby? Is he hurt or is Tocchett just trying to send a message to him to wake up or Walker will play in your spot? GO BOLTS

i think tocc feels smaby has been a bit of a liability during the recent losing streak.....walker has played his butt off lately and with us finally getting a win, he's gonna stick with the change for at least this game.

i like smaby, but with his spotty playing time this year and guys like lashoff, mihalik, and wishart (and ranger if he ever reports back to the bolts) knocking on the door again next season, i think he and walker could fall out of the team's plans if tocc returns - hedman, ohlund, mez, and foster appear to be locks barring an attractive trade offer for the latter 2.

That picture with Marty scoring is a bit embarrassing due to the fact that almost an entire section is empty but the first 3 or 4 rows. Ha are we going to be stuck with the french feeds from Montreal or actually get Sun Sports?

Mihalik and Lashoff will be subject to waivers next season if they don't make the team out of camp so they have that going for them. They need to start limiting Smaby and Hedmans minutes for the time being, get some sense back in those boys.

Any takers on how many opponent's goals Mesz is on the ice for this game? I'm going with 2.

Didn't he sit the last period of the Atlanta game. Or at the very least his ice time was very low. Don't know if he was hurt, but his play has not been up to standard since well before the break. How much of that is due to being put on the third line I don't know, but he didn't improve much being with Vinny either.

Yeah I didn't realize he played that little. None of the commentators said anything during the game about it. I don't remember him getting hit hard or blocking a shot, or anything that could do some damage...

During the Olympics he looked good again, so I though he had broken out of his slump and it would carry over. Unfortunately it didn't, so I though an injury before Saturday could have been the reason, but looking at his ice time, yeah I guess not.

Well that keeps spots open up top for Tanguay and Purcell, which I don't think is a bad thing tbh. Tanguay-Lecavalier-Purcell could be fun.

Leave the Angry-Money-Midget line together.

This is a great name for a band, but the AMM line just doesn't have quite the right ring to it.

MASSIVE game tonight!

If it comes down to head to head we are currently 2-1 up over them!

Looking forward to Purcell V4 and Tanguay on a line tonight. If #16 keeps up his form i'm picking him up in my fantasy!

Good to see Marty's OK!

Coach Rick Tocchet did confirm for the media after practice that Ryan Malone likely would not play tonight because of an upper body injury that has been nagging him for a few games
so he did get injured before Saturday.
