Anyways, I'm sure the Bruins will try to do something. But considering the fact they're one of the softest teams in the NHL this season, I think we'll survive. They need the two points more than we do. And if it comes to blows, we have enough players that can handle themselves imo.

If they want to "Bertuzzi" Cooke, well then they'll have to live with the consequences.
The only way I would be even remotely worried is if we jump out to a 5-0 lead (and Cook gets a hat-trick).

Do you think Crosby saw EXACTLY what went down between Ballard and Malkin last year? You see a guy down, you react. It's really not more complicated than that. Players today though seem to look straight towards the referee now as soon as they feel justice is required. It's rather sad, quite frankly.

Or Cooke decides to lay somebody else out.

A. I'm not whining.
B. I never said it should be Thornton on Crosby. I am saying that ANY chance ANY Bruin gets to throw a hit, he should target the head of the Penguin.

Then we'll come and tell you how, hey, it's legal. Should have had his head up.

I totally agree that Cooke should have been jumped on like I said. Honestly though, the way it went down was just weird no ones focus was on what happened. I think Bergeron was the only one who saw it but he is not going to do anything about it. It just comes down to how soft the Bruins are, and that they don't seem to have much heart this year.

I think your lost, the Bruins board is ----> way. Sid has had a bullseye on his back since he was 6 years old. Nothing new.

A. You said to think if the shoe was on the other foot, and I did.

B. I did not say that you were whining, I was actually referring to the many hot heads on the main board.

I think it'd be hilarious if Cooke does fight and beats the **** out of whoever he goes against...

Yup. But, according to the Rhodes scholars here, you should ignore that fact and just become a curling fan.

it won't happen, Cooke's a pretty bad fighter and I guess their going to send Lucic or Thornton or possibly both after him.

They won't do anything. The Bruins are soft and a bunch of guys are nursing injuries and won't fight (Chara and Lucic in particular).

In a game like that, after everything that has gone down, if our guys don't have their heads up in that game they deserve to get nailed. Please.

When you maim make sure you don't do it on back-pressure, mmk?

Any chance they get they should be looking to go shoulder to head. I'd be interested to see what you guys would think about it when the shoe's on the other foot.
If the B's are looking to run around and take head shots, Cooke did his job. That would mean he successfully took Boston off their game.

Once a team concentrates more on him than scoring goals, Matt Cooke wins.

I'd be shocked if someone doesn't challenge Cooke on the opening draw, makes much more sense than trying to cheap shot a Pens player as Cooke will just cheap shot them right back and better likely.

I am absolutely confused right now: why exactly Cooke was suspended for the hit on Anisimov?

I think it was because he left his feet, which he did not do on the Savard hit.

You're the only person here who's taking this so personally. I'm sharing my opinion. Am I suppose to care if somebody disagrees with me?

I think the only person that needs to get over something here is you, so try taking your own advice. I'm doing just fine over here.

But honestly, forwards should be peeved at this new rule. Defensemen will always be in front of the opponent so they will have free reign. Forwards now have to worry about back pressure and blindsided hits being suspendable offenses.

It seems quite unfair on the surface, let's see how it plays out.

This still p*sses me off. I just don't understand. That hit was not nearly as bad as this one.

I dont recall Pens fans screaming that we are going to hurt the Blackhawks and the NHL is out to get them and all that bs after that hit.

I agree with you, i dont have a problem with that hit either.
