The only thing holding me back is trading during the draft. Guys will trade 7 picks for guys like Ovechkin and it turns into a joke.
Is this a negotiable item or is that written in stone?

Quick question regarding the Free Agents: will the FAs be random, or will they be the current FAs going into the real next season? The reason I ask is because there would be a real deterrent to draft these players in the fantasy draft.

I think the FA's should be those not selected in the fantasy or entry draft. I know its not a huge thing then but it then makes the Fantasy draft go much much more smoothly.

You would get time to sign him, it's not like FA would start as soon as the draft ends. I expect there to be atleast a little while before FA starts.
Nobody is going to trade 7 picks for Ovechkin.. you need your draft picks, you need to be able to have a full team...
I don't see that as being a problem, the only trades I could see happening during the fantasy draft would be maybe a 2nd for 3rd, 5th, 7th or something along those lines. I personally don't want to ban trading during the fantasy draft becuase that would limit some team's options, but I think that I might stop it if it gets a little too insane. Since this is my first one, I figure I'd play it by ear and see how it works out, I think that seems fair. If you don't think it should be done that way, PM me or post it here. As of now, I will allow trading at all times and see what happens when the actual drafting starts.

I did not think of the point about FA's not being draftedm but I think the FA's will be this coming class. Once the entry draft is finished I will need time to find "agents" for these players. I think the way I'll handle this is once all these players have agents, I will allow 1-2 weeks of a resigning period. We can't do this in season because I have yet to find the agents so I think the only way it could be done would be to allocate extra time after the draft to get those guys resigned.
