Our best hope for the future would look something like this:
1.Atlanta Spirit declares bankruptcy right after they fire everybody but Rick Dudley and Bobby Stewart.
2.Dudley names Chelios defensive player/coach and forces him to move in with Bogo.
3.With all the money saved from not signing expensive, ungrateful Russian players, Thomas Voukon comes to Atlanta on the condition that the team learns how to block shots.
4.The baby blue jerseys are burned outside the arena opening night as the Thrash return to their original white and road sweaters.
5.Wishing to stay close to the team he helped build/destroy, Don Waddell finds a job handing out chicken samples at the Super Happy Wok in the CNN Center. This ends badly when he is seriously injured by drunken fans celebrating the 12 game win streak to start the season.
Chelios is not an upgrade.
Andersons system blows defensively. Until 3 minutes ago the Thrashers were getting worked by the 3rd worst team.
Thrashers back on the PK. Thrashers PK sucks.
If you really believe that total points in a conference system is an accurate measuring stick.
The fact is, the CBJ would be a bubble team at worst in the East. You take the top 2 or 3 teams out and the East is no where near the West. We beat you without Nash and nothing to play for.
I hope you guys make a push and get that 8th seed. I like Chelios, he'll be an asset once he gets he legs back under him. That blocked pass PP goal was a fluke play. Any defenseman would agree you have to make that effort.
