How's Kari doing?

Thrasher fan here - came in the check on how Lehtonen is doing for you guys...?

Haven't been able to catch a Dallas game with Kari in net yet, but I've seen some of the boxscores and he's got a few wins for you, and had a big 40+ save night already. Wondering if he's actually getting back into his earlier prime form. CUrious to know also since we Thrasher fans haven't seen him play since APril of last season...

What are your early thoughts so far?

Well he started against Pittsburgh in his first game back, stupid IMO.

But after that, he's been solid. Didn't expect him to be compete this well, this early honestly.

He has probably been one of our best players after his 1st start.

Hopefully the Stars will give him little bit less of a workload, both in the games department, and in the shot department while he continues to get back up to speed. There were points in his recent career with the Thrashers when he would routinely face 35+ a night, throw in a few 40's also and he was pretty good with them.

The guy can handle a lot of shots, and when he was healthy and on his game, he was pretty amazing in net.

He would have a tendancy let in an occasional stinker which was often a problem for the Thrashers since their defense was generally subpar and the team was always clinging onto the leads with a very little room for error....(up until these last two seasons).

...Oh also saw that he has a sweet mask already...

He's good, and getting better with every start. You can just sense the team playing with more confidence when he's back there.

No need to give him more or less starts than the pace he's on now though. Keeps him rested and in a rhythm, playing once every 4 days or so.
