Maybe not. Although it'd make a good idea for our Halloween games.

Great to see them grind out a win at the end of a trip. The Kings have been stumbling coming off the break and even though they weren't at their best, this was a good, gritty road game.

Also, Bernier was tremendous...I imagine the new baby won't be the only one in the Quick household that needs a change of underwear tonight.

We picked up two points, which is all you can ask for at this time of year. Dallas had a little more jump in the offensive zone, we played a little sloppy in our own end, but Bernier was very calm and steady.

Nice to get a look at Bernier, but fully expect to see him sent back to Manchester immediately.

I'm actually glad it went to the shootout because I felt like we didn't get to see enough "reaction" saves in order to judge his athleticism. The D did a great job at making the stars take hard shots. We heard "right in the chest/logo of Bernier" over and over again. But I think the biggest difference between Quick and Bernier is the positioning of Bernier. Quick tends to drop down to the butterfly too fast and sometimes leaves a little extra space in the corners to shoot at. He makes up for this with his athleticism and speed. Bernier is always square to the shooter and patient so that when the shot comes he's able to get his body in front of it and swallow up the rebounds.

Good game by Bernier, but lets get Quick back and have both our clubs marching into the playoffs.

I'm thinking that the Quick household is already working on baby #2 after seeing Bernier play tonight.

You guys seem to quickly forget (no pun intended) Bernier got a shutout his first NHL game.

Bernier still needs more time guys. We've got a good problem at the moment though

The Kings played a conservative road game. I think the primary coaching instruction must have been not to hang your new goalie out to dry. The Stars worked hard to get this game and it's a credit to the bend-don't-break philosophy (and great play by Bernier) that the Kings took 2 pts.

Very pleased with Modin by the way. Puck Daddy on Yahoo seemed to think he was washed up and didn't like the trade. (I question Puck Daddy a lot by the way.) What's not to like when the Kings basically got Modin for free, and Freddy really is showing up and looks like he's taking full advantage of his new start on this new team.

Brown needs to simplify his game because he was trying to do too much again tonight.

Modin is looking like a damn good addition. Halpern is meh.

Bernier looked great. Very calm and his rebound control was outstanding.

Dallas played a very good game. Kings hung with 'em and Stoll went clutch in the SO.

I don't think we played well tonight ..but Dallas defence was doing their part of the job.

Williams did surprise me, thought he would be more off.

We were lucky to pull those two points.

Bernier ...stellar

I don't think anyone's advocating that he be handed the starter's job. It was just an impressive start, and he seems to be on track to make the netminding situation interesting next season.

Bernier and Williams both made me happy.

WTF was with "fans dress up as an empty seat night" in Dallas tonight? Come to think of it, seems like they do that promotion every time I see a game in Dallas....

I think he's ready right now. No more time needed. I hope he kills in the playoffs with Manchester.

Bernier is flying back to LA according to Hammond. Hammond speculates its just to make sure things are ok with Quick.

He's going back to LA with the team because the Kings have yet to ascertain whether or not Quick can rejoin the team for the next start.
