No GDT up again, figured I would post this to get some talk about the game going.
I assume Leclaire is starting since Clouston said he would play once on this trip.

Ottawa Senators: We kick ass (recently just our own, but kicking ass is kicking ass), and Kovalev is my new desktop background. 5 pts for him tonight. Better win, I traveled across the ocean to see this game.

Vancouver Canucks: Luongo carried the paralympic torch... Shows where he belongs.

Not optimistic.
Sens record on HNIC and on the road is really bad this year.

We need to get another streak going. A lot has changed since then but on paper you'd think it was for the better. We need Cheechoo back.

The boys have to be ready to play tonight, this is the Canucks first home game since way before the olympics (14 straight home games). I'm sure they're going to be pumped to be infront of their fans again. Looking forward to see if Leclaire can build on his last performance. Should be a good one.
Go sens go!
Also, your gdt kicks all kind of ass, good job Dave!!

Plus Luongo has not been good at all. Raycroft outplayed him by a long shot.
Adding Bieksa + no Mitchell to shelter him + Luongo not himself = Canucks loss

It floors me how small that team is, 5 Forwards in the Top-9 under 190 lbs.
Hits stats thus far:
Ottawa = 1637 (8th)
Vancouver = 1233 (27th)
Game plan should be exactly the same as last game; keep 'em to the perimeter, hammer them on the forecheck, rush their D-men and kill their break out.

GDT : Sens v.s Vancouver
Michaelak trying to get = 30 goals
Alfy most points
Vancouver top player = Henrik Sedin
top goalie Luongo.
If the Sens lose they are in serious trouble. Maybe a coach demotion or bringing up Brodeur is in order.

Tough game tonight. Despite being pathetically small and incredibly soft the Canucks have managed to put up 26 goals in six games since the Olympics.
Against Wings, Preds, Hawks, Avs, Yotes and Jackets. Only crap team being the Jackets.
D needs to be good

Well regardless win or lose Murray should replace the PP coach. It's been horrendous all season. Still time to get the PP sorted for the playoffs if he hires someone new, but time is running out quickly.

Players play, coaches coach. These players are good enough and have enough experience to do it on there own. Players just arnt performing on the powerplay, Kovalev for example.

I hope the A train remembers who injured Karlsson last game and catches him on the tracks.
I also hope if Kesler has an upclose meeting with Karlsson's new defensive partner if he wants to try getting in Erik's face again. Unload on him Sutton!

Hartsburg and Paddock coached, players played crappy. Clouston coaches, players are winning. The teams they coached had players with a Stanley cup run experience, so by your logic they should have been able to win on their own.

In case anyone's interested, the lineup for the Canucks looks slightly different than the one posted at the top of the thread.
Bieksa is back in, meaning the odd man out is Shane O'Brien, and not Aaron Rome as listed.
D-pairings should be:
Salo - Edler
Bieksa - Rome
Alberts - Ehrhoff
Also, Hordichuk draws in for Tanner Glass. Maybe some fireworks tonight with a Hordi - Carkner tilt, and a Neil - Rypien rematch? Hope so!
Should be a good one - my 2 favourite Canadian Teams going head to head.
Cheers Sens crew!

Hey guys, I'm a Canucks fan. Hope I'm not intruding.
I was just driving up the coast of Vancouver Island and heard on the Team 1040 out of Vancouver an interview with the play-by-play guy for the Sens. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name.
He was saying that one of the Sens recent performances was one of the gutsiest he had ever seen anywhere by any team; with the main reason being that over half the team was sick. I didn't pick up which game it was and the impression I got was that the Sens lost (the AM radio signal wasn't that great) but this guy was impressed with the team. Now, he may have just been blowing smoke up the ass of us folks on the west coast, but I didn't get that feel.
Anyways, just wanted to say that according to one of the respected Sens allies, your team has a ton of heart. Good on them. And I'm looking forward to a great game tonight. Hope the Sens are recovered from the flu bug.
