Hartsburg and Paddock coached, players played crappy. Clouston coaches, players are winning. The teams they coached had players with a Stanley cup run experience, so by your logic they should have been able to win on their own.
There isn't just one coach whos job is the power play. Clouston falls under that umbrella too... So fire Clouston?
The Sens are gonna have to bring a ton of energy for this one. I want to see some passion and hunger from them after the disappointing loss the other night. Getting the first goal will be very key to take the crowd out of the game. The D is going to have to be sharp as we all know the damage the Canucks offense can do. No outside shots from around the perimeter, they gotta get in Luongo's way.
And most of all, we NEED Leclaire to be as strong as he was last weekend. He's got alot to prove and he could really make a statement tonight.
Should be a great game, always fun when the Sens are in the second game of the doubleheader.
Hey guys, I'm a Canucks fan. Hope I'm not intruding.
I was just driving up the coast of Vancouver Island and heard on the Team 1040 out of Vancouver an interview with the play-by-play guy for the Sens. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name.
He was saying that one of the Sens recent performances was one of the gutsiest he had ever seen anywhere by any team; with the main reason being that over half the team was sick. I didn't pick up which game it was and the impression I got was that the Sens lost (the AM radio signal wasn't that great) but this guy was impressed with the team. Now, he may have just been blowing smoke up the ass of us folks on the west coast, but I didn't get that feel.
Anyways, just wanted to say that according to one of the respected Sens allies, your team has a ton of heart. Good on them. And I'm looking forward to a great game tonight. Hope the Sens are recovered from the flu bug.
that was a game against the leafs, which should now be known as 'the flu game - part 2'.
Players had IV's on the bench and were throwing up between shifts. Probably our best player that night was AHL callup zach smith, who didnt arrive at the arena until the first period was almost over.
Ehrhoff could be moved on his own, Cheechoo couldn't.
To take Heatley the Sharks needed cap relief and they had to do that by dumping Ehrhoff. We couldn't take all three because we didn't have the cap space.
Well we don't know if he was even offered to Ottawa since at the time he was traded (a couple weeks before Heatley deal) it was rumored that San Jose and Ottawa weren't having many discussions. Im sure Murray would have found away to include him in a deal since their was an open spot on defense, which Carkner took
