I'm starting to wonder if someone has to be seriously injured for the refs to get a call right. Seriously, how is Avery going to get away with that dirty hit? It even looked as if it had intention to injure. And Hartnell getting sticks to the back and gloves to the face. C'mon..

Players like Avery are allowed to succeed because the officials let them. Avery is such a **** disturber that he doesn't even think twice about drilling guys into his own goaltender

Hockey has become tough to watch. A Rangers vs Flyers game used to be a great thing to watch. Now it is Rangers vs Flyers vs the Refs, and no one wants to watch that. They have taken too much control in the NHL and they are too inconsistent. Players are no longer allowed to play the game, and the game is controlled (momentum and all) by the refs. A team can commit 3 penalties, then go on the PP. A player boards someone for the same penalty as tripping.

To be fair, this is the first over-officiated game I've seen in a while. The last 6 games or so have been pretty good

OMG Leighton made that save, but common why didn't he skate up the ice with it and score a goal!?

What a horrible goalie!

Do you want more distinction than minors and majors?

You can have varying severity in a slash and unless it's a major, it's always 2 minutes.

I'm not sure what you're arguing. In fact I'm not sure why so many people are freaking out. This is regular old hockey to me. (Post lockout hockey haha)

You already know what would happen if that happened. The league would investigate and figure out the coaches told him to and we'd get boned even though we were essentially getting rid one of the biggest headaches in the league.

And Avery baits Hartnell. BS. I hate the ****ing SOB so much.
