So he has decided to come back to NA? I must have missed that.

Well I really don't know what he has decided but I would guess that he comes back there to atleast try. Don't the Rangers give him the options and it's not all what he wants? I'm not that familiar with all of the details in his contract.

He was assigned to Charlotte (ECHL) last season, sucked, was traded to Dayton (ECHL), was much better, and then got a cup of coffee with Hartford (AHL) at the end of the year. To start this season, he was assigned to Charlotte again, but didn't want to go, so we loaned him to the SM-liiga.

He's still Rangers property next season and may come back for training camp, but I get the sense that he'll be playing the rest of his career in Europe.

It was suggested to me by the Rangers that he might find a better home with another NHL team.

Ok. Thanks for the info.

Oh yeah and after the game Zaborsky said to Satakunnan Kansa that "it's possible that I continue to play in Finland...Ässät is a strong option."

Might be just kind words, but time will tell.

I'd guess Zaborsky will give it another shot in NA, I doubt he makes it in the NHL though. He'll probably end up dominating the AHL for a year or two then comes back to Europe (hopefully with Ässät) and then heads to the KHL.

Yup, I agree. My thought was just that comparing Ryan to his brother wasn't a very good comparison

But I love his skillset, I love his attitude, he have a ton of things that a center should have. I like him a lot better then Dwight Helminen for example. And DH have actually gotten a few glimps in the NHL lately.

I could definitely see him becoming a Darren Helm type of player.
Hey, if he ends up being better than Helminen, he should be fine. Dewey's a borderline NHL'er.

Stepan has better numbers then most of those players but didnt make any of them? And i'm sure he plays a lot better defense then half those guys.

Strange. Guess he isn't as flashy as some of those other guys.

Personally, I never take much stock in these things. It's always more of a political/seniority type of thing than anything else.

Kind of like how the kids in their last year of Little League tend to make the All Star team.

Yea your right. 95% of those names are 3rd and 4th year players. Stepan obviously just in his 2nd year.

Hopefully Ryan Bourque gets a small growth spurt.

If he was a couple inches taller and 10 pounds heavier he would be NHL bound pretty soon.

But he is small. And he's had two concussions this season alone.

He has undeniable skill and smarts though.

Ryan was horrible tonight. Lots of turnovers, especially during the PPs. He gave a breakaway while he was playing the point and it cost a goal.

He had an assist and 2 PIM in a 6-5 win in OT.

Wisconsin plays St. Cloud today at 3pm on FCS. BC plays Vermont today at 5pm on NESN. Michigan plays Miami tonight at 8pm on Big Ten Network. Michigan needs to win the CCHA tourny to reach the NCAA's.

Really appreciate the info, RB - Wisconsin are a really fun team to watch. For anyone on the west coast, it's not on FCS (Pacific), but I found it on DirecTV channel 668 - FSN Ohio.

Krieder with a goal and an assist so far tonight. He also has a couple big hits.

Great game for him.

Wisconsin lost 2-0. It was a boring game. Wisconsin tried to tie the game at 1 in third period but they couldn't beat Mike Lee. Wisconsin plays the 3rd place on Saturday afternoon. They are still making the NCAA tournament with their loss today.

For what it's worth, here is how one BC poster on another site I frequent described Kreider's assist:

"hayes and kreider sprinting down.. kreider shoots..great save kreider gets rebound behind goal ..blind behind back pass to hayes who scores.."

You guys have signed Lee Baldwin to an ELC

Lee Baldwin, Alaska-Anchorage -- At 6-3 and 203 pounds, NHL scouts are drooling over the potential of this freshman defenseman. There is room for him to grow physically and in terms of his on-ice game, but if Baldwin, who had 9 points this season, wants to forgo his final three seasons, the option will be there. He has the potential to become a great puck-moving defenseman, and with his size, that's a rare combination all NHL teams desire.

No link that I can find yet, but it should be out shortly.

I got to watch the BC vs. Vermont game. Kreider played a great game. One of the more physical players on the ice. His goal was an absolute snipe beating Madore over the glove-hand...top right corner. Then his primary assist was a slick behind the back pass right on the stick of Hayes shooting through the slot. Kreider got called for charging on a really hard hit...which in my opinion is a 100% legal NHL hit. Kreider was definitely the fastest skater on the ice. His line made something happen just about every shift.
