Do you think Theo will? Varlamov would be Caps starter next season, I don't think they would sign The Open Door as 4 million backup.

Did I say anything about Theo?!

Geeze, you people bring this upon yourselves...

Theo probably will be. He has shown himself capable since 2001. He is the Caps starter right now and Varlamov is struggling.

I thought we said no more funny GDTs

Because he does not have enough talent to stay in the league for the next 5 years... Do you honestly think that there will not be enough new goalies entering the NHL in the next 5 years to drive out Budaj caliber goalies???

You would know, living in his pants. Do you enjoy his CreamSodas? And if by capeable since '01 you mean only good 35% of the time in his contract years, then we can fully agree with each other.

I'm hoping Budaj in net will make the defence play better just like the last time Budaj had to play. When Anderson got run by Ballard, they were playing pretty poor defensively and Andy was allowing like 3 goals a game (but still playing good). I think the team becomes complacent with Anderson in net because they think, "hey, even if we make a mistake, Andy will bail us out". Hopefully they try extra hard for Peter.

Do you honestly think reporting this wildly broad opinion as fact counts as supporting your argument? I was thinking more stats, talk about what it is as a goalie he doesn't do that makes him so talentless...

I forgot what it was like to have CreamSoda talk about Theo, including the sexual innuendo's that goes with it.

Mildly entertaining I must say. It would (and did) get old really fast though. Glad Theo isn't on the team anymore, and Budaj rarely starts so we don't have to hear this drivel game in and game out.

This is one of things Giguere did right. Imagine he gave Theo money he wanted. We probably wouldn't be in the spot we're now and Anderson would play somewhere else. Good work FG!

Giguere actually did a few things right. His biggest problem was overpaying players.

His trades were pretty good. Getting a 2nd for Parros (who he claimed off waivers) that ended up being Galiardi. Got Ryan Wilson and Stefan Elliott for Jordan Leopold. Lured a couple big free agents here (though overpaid for them both).

Agreed. He couldn't handle contracts at all. At least he was no Glen Sather.

lol that ABasin guy is facing alot of heat for his comments in the other thread on O'Reilly.

Besides that being the point, alot of our fans are just over looking our teams performance and worrying about things that they should not be worrying about when we got other things that need to be taken a look at.

Well we got Budaj in net tonight, hopefully all goes well. I see another high scoring affair from the Avs tonight. First line has been on a role since the olympic break. Let's hope for Stastny to continue his hot scoring. And the 2nd line too is fitting nicely.

Go Avs Go!

I'm extremely nervous before each game at this stage. Hopefully the offense manage to keep scoring because defense has been wobbly lately.

I'm comfortable with Budaj playing though.
