If that's on Staal this is a joke. Little nudges are penalties now?

And it is. What a ****ing joke.

replay on the goal showed that it was joni coasting and watching the others that lead to the problem. sutter was only rotating back to forward, pothier was waiting for joni to hold the right side so he could swing left. sutter left assuming, which is a mistake, but joni just sitting there watching was the problem.

Mcbain has been really smooth skater, nice hard accurate passes and shot. No signs of nervousness at all.

good feet, decent size but needs more bulk. good hands and solid passes, eager and confident to play offense. not so confident on his own end but he is moving well. you can already tell the offensive side of his game comes as advertised. proving he can play 5 on 5 will be his challenge. i really like that he clearly wants to be involved in the play, he isnt just trying to survive his first nhl game - he wants the puck. as good a showing as you couldve hoped for so far.

gosh, with all of this now, i bet cole stays on the top line the rest of the season, even though none of those 2 goals came from him playing with whitney and staal.

were he and jokinen switched, or was he just at the end of his shift when he scored that goal from ruutu and sutter?

Legace is worthless tonight.... not that he is getting a whole lot of help....though i would still put 3 or 4 of the goals directly on him
