For exiting hockey?

Buffalo vs Ottawa
Devils vs Boston
Pens vs Habs
Caps vs Flyers

Sharks vs Wings
Hawks vs Kings
Nucks vs Colorado
Coyotes vs Preds

Out of these possibilities, I think Wings/Sharks and Flyers/Caps would be the best matchups.

I think out of the top 4 teams in the east, from a habs perspective, I'd like to see it be Pittsburgh/Washington, I have a bad feeling about NJ and especially Buffalo but for some reason Pittsburgh/Washington, I actually think we could pull off a major upset.

What I'm most excited to see, is how our team plays in general in the first round but even more-so how Halak plays.

I hope the Canadiens meet the Devils in the 1st round

I know that there are other threads on this topic but this one is especially volatile.

Now, surprisingly (for me) and honestly, I'd like to see Montreal take on New Jersey.

I know that the Canadiens' history against them is atrocious but I feel that, with the progress our team has been making, we're more than ready to take them on and knock them out.

Also, Gomez & Gionta know how to play them from having played for them. I think Brodeur is vulnerable after his olympic experience and the Devils don't really have a whole lot more than a one line offence. Their second line can be held down.

I could be wrong but that's the way I feel.

Other teams who, for the Canadiens, are potentially vulnerable as first round match-ups are the Sabres and Senators. The Capitals & Penguins would be a tough run - possible upset scenarios but very surprising.

I fear the Devils the most out of all the teams in the east... yes, even more than the Pens or the Caps.

Same for me, Brodeur doesn't scare me at all since Smolinski found a way to score on him. He doesn't seem as ready both physically and mentally this year.

Wouldn't mind the Caps either tho.

All but the god damn Sabres. Mille is the one whos scares me the most.

I hate choosing my opponent; It never ends well. We'll take on whoever we're matched with.

That's why it would be nice to go against them. If we can beat them, we can beat all the other teams. The confidence boost would be amazing.

If one team can give confidence back to Brodeur, its the Habs.

And if we lose.

"This team blows, we need to strip it down and rebuild."
