I really question the validity of this report. At the very least you would think that the Oilers would have posted this info on their website.

They weren't re-signed. Their options were picked up for next year I think.

The article clearly states that the Oilers announced the signings last week, and even if they were re-signed, no announcements were made.

I realize what the article says but this is what was in The Sun:

http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam040424/nhl_edm2-sun.html

AROUND THE RINK ...

The Oilers will pick up options on Jason Chimera for $700,000 US and Igor Ulanov for $750,000 US, but they haven't made a call on Finn Mikko Luoma ... no decision has been made on offering contracts to Brad Isbister, who was paid $1.925 million last season, and 1998 first-round pick Michael Henrich ... the broken ankle Jani Rita suffered a week ago won't require surgery and his rehab will take eight weeks ... the Oilers will announce cuts to season-ticket packages Monday.

Sorry about that. I didn't mean to sound like I was picking a fight. But thanks for believing me.

Let's see what you find out Guy!

Hmmm

I sure it's gonna happen, but we have NOT received a release from the Oilers yet. They'll get around to it... but we've only heard the speculation to this point.

Official line from the Oilers is: "There is no news on that front at this time."

looks like someone jumped the gun.

No news on that front?

You're right. Jumped the gun. We'll know better after the draft I think.
