It’s so obvious how we have to play to be successful, but we’re just not consistent with it...
What we did well against Philly is the opposite of the spectrum tonight. - John Tortorella

Last time they were absolutely dominated in every aspect of the game, especially physically.
It was downright embarrassing.
Would be shocked if they pulled off a win here.
I'm glad he finally went back to Dubi-Christensen-Gaborik line. They played great together and there was no reason to break them up in the first place. Every game now is a must win.
I don't really understand this "must win" term.
Must win or else what?
We've been saying that for a couple of weeks now, and they keep losing "must win" games.
5:00: Arrive at MSG Pregame: Tortorella: Discuss no game plan of any merit whatsoever; annoy players with bad attitude and stupid ******** 7:00: Gametime 1st period: Allow the first goal; play tentatively throughout 2nd period: Some degree of natural competitive spirit surfaces 3rd period: If tied after 2nd period: Play tentatively again; lose in final minutes (score in own net if possible); If trailing after 2nd period: Mix lines a bunch of times, don't score Post-game: Tortorella: Insult players; berate reporters; make excuses

better switch coaches then, we see how well that worked out last time
rangers win + bruins loss vs pitt would set up a good matchup sunday vs boston.
Rangers loss+Bruins win=5 point lead(again)setting up the game on Sunday in Boston. The Rangers and Bruins don't play another game between tomorrow night and Sunday. If the previous scenario works out,the Rangers are playing for their season on Sunday. 7 point lead by Boston.
Boston wants blood for the Savard hit. Pittsburgh played tonight. Lost again to Jersey. Have to travel.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Anyway, Lets go Rangers

I think we should start applying the same effort to the GDT that the Rangers apply to their games. Lets role play, i'll be Wade Redden. The 3rd pairing poster who gets payed by the eyebrow.

The Rangers are embarrassed. They are going to come out FLYING. We are gonna win 2-1 or 2-0 but should have won by a lot more. Gonna put up 33+ shots. Dominating game from start to finish. I'm putting 50$ on this game.
We have to win tonight. Let's hope this is 2007 all over again where a home game against STL turns around the season. I keep flipping back from whether it's right to tank or not, but I'll never root against the boys, and they're obviously trying to win, so I'm going to support them. Let's do it.
