It will depend on the length of the contract. I'm hoping for $3.5, but with DW negotiating I could see it going as high as $4.5, which is overpayment IMO. $3.5 to $3.75 mil for 2-4 years would be good for me. I would prefer a 4 year contract, but could go a bit longer or a bit shorter depending on the deal. If it's shorter, I would like to see DW pay a bit more to get a team option on a contract extension at a decent price.

As for Pavs vs. Seto, I think they are both critical. I see Pavs as future captain, but probably a career 2nd liner. Seto has a good potential to be a very good 1st line guy.

Well, that was less crappy than the last couple games, but I think that actually makes me less optimistic. It's not just that they don't work hard, it's that the defense will never win anything. And yes, I know we're still in first (at least for two more games when Phoenix passes us).
