is there any way that they can shake this team up at this point? I know you cant trade but could they change captains at this point..they need a major shakeup and they need it now....I want to hear interviews where they are pissed off...
They can fire the coach.
Didn't the Devils do that a couple years ago? Fire their coach right before the playoffs?
We all want them to turn it around right away, but they've been playing so god damn poorly that it's going to take time. Yes this game was disappointing, but at least it's a step in the right direction and there's still time. I'm still waiting to see consistent 60 minute efforts though.
I would have mentioned him if he got three assists

True. I forgot about him in the depths of my misery.

I agree. It was a step in the right direction. Then again, what isn't after that Dallas game? We actually could have won that if Luongo hadn't decided to make those couple of tough saves that he, supposedly slumping, shouldn't have made. But of course, the curse of the Sharks making every single goal tender look like God, even though Luo is closer than usual.
1) They're tired. That's a pretty good reason why they seem to lack vision and their passes are so sloppy.
2) The Sharks' defense back out too early and too much out of the offensive zone. They can't keep pucks in to sustain offensive pressure. I attribute that to their lack of defensive depth. With Vlasic out and Blake's play deteriorating faster than expected, they're basically down 2 guys and have to be extra careful with guys like Leach and Huskins.
3) Bad shots. The shots they took tonight either were Ehrhoff-style wide, or they were shot in a direct line of sight to Luongo. Even an AHL goalie would stop those, much less Luongo.
