Honestly, I'm ok with the loss. The team is starting to SLOWLY turn it around. Good sign with the playoffs in a few weeks.

They can fire the coach.

Didn't the Devils do that a couple years ago? Fire their coach right before the playoffs?

Didn't know that (obviously). In that case, I'm in favor of a longer contract. I think Seto will develop into a consistent 35+ goal scorer within a couple of years.

Same here. The 2nd and 3rd periods weren't bad. Didn't watch much of the first.

like another poster said they're slowly getting better. This game was a step forward in the right direction.

Good job TMac and DW. Half the team are new and it's the same downward slide into the playoffs.

I would like to see this:

Marleau -Thornton - Seto (last year's top line)
Clowe - Pavelski - Heatley

I think Pavs could set Heatley up for a lot of dirty goalies, in deep on the goalie.

We all want them to turn it around right away, but they've been playing so god damn poorly that it's going to take time. Yes this game was disappointing, but at least it's a step in the right direction and there's still time. I'm still waiting to see consistent 60 minute efforts though.

I agree. It was a step in the right direction. Then again, what isn't after that Dallas game? We actually could have won that if Luongo hadn't decided to make those couple of tough saves that he, supposedly slumping, shouldn't have made. But of course, the curse of the Sharks making every single goal tender look like God, even though Luo is closer than usual.

Now, I really am out. Math homework.

I hate to disagree but they are not getting better...its the same mentality game after game....someone said no grit...that is not getting better in my opinion.....

sense of urgency is why they had moments of playing decent tonight...they need to have a sense of urgency for 60 minutes..its not rocket science.....

every interview they say " yea they got out early on us and we played from behind" next time we should get at them first......i guarantee we will hear the same thing tomorrow

1) They're tired. That's a pretty good reason why they seem to lack vision and their passes are so sloppy.

2) The Sharks' defense back out too early and too much out of the offensive zone. They can't keep pucks in to sustain offensive pressure. I attribute that to their lack of defensive depth. With Vlasic out and Blake's play deteriorating faster than expected, they're basically down 2 guys and have to be extra careful with guys like Leach and Huskins.

3) Bad shots. The shots they took tonight either were Ehrhoff-style wide, or they were shot in a direct line of sight to Luongo. Even an AHL goalie would stop those, much less Luongo.

One other 3-2 Nucks prediction, but this one wins the tiebreaker by the margin of one goalscorer.
