Interesting tidbit from today's Morning Skate:
Quote:
Blues coach Davis Payne said this morning that he thought about changing the defensive pairings for the game against Colorado. In Tuesday’s morning skate, he had these combinations together:

Barret Jackman-Erik Johnson

Eric Brewer-Roman Polak

Carlo Colaiacovo-Mike Weaver

But later in the day, Payne decided to keep the same pairs they way they’ve been: Brewer-Johnson, Jackman-Polak, Colaiacovo-Weaver.
I would have rather seen those new pairings over the ones we have now. Sounded like a nice shake-up.

Also, no D'agger in the lineup. At this point, with the playoffs almost certainly out of reach, I'd like to see more of him. It would be nice to know what we've got going into next season.

This game has the potential to be a lot of fun if you like the scraps. The Rangers have been dressing Prust and Shelley at times so I am hoping that Payne uses both King and Jannsen.

King and Shelley have a history in the NHL and Jannsen has had a couple of good ones with Shelley as well.

Also Jannsen and Brandon Prust have had a history going back to their Junior hockey days in the OHL.

Could be lots of fun

I can't watch because I'm going grocery shopping. But I couldn't watch it anyway, because DISH sucks.

I have noticed that 930 AM here carries some Blues games, which is great, because 1120 doesn't always come in. Even in the car, 1120 is choppy and staticky.

Oh my god. Just had a Murray flashback. Payne line matching pulling the best line off the ice after the faceoff to put on McClement and leads to a great chance for the opponent. Facepalm.

Does Conklin always play the puck this much? He seems like he isn't very comfortable tonight.

It looks like he's having some communication issues with the defenseman. Not surprising since he hasn't played hardly at all lately.

He's typically very good handling the puck.

I am ****ing sick of that delay of game penalty. Its the same play as an icing and should have the same penalty.

This is the most bi-polar team I've seen, probably ever. How can they look so awful for 30 minutes and then dominate for 30 minutes so often?
