that's a nice first period. I like when the Stars play really aggressive, it puts the other team back on their heels.

Why is it when the playoffs are out of reach they decide they want to start playing like a team?

They've been doing this all season. When they play well, they play really well. Stretches of good play only last a game or two though.
Oh lord, Sutherby is my hero.

I know you turned it over, but save the self-pity for after you backcheck.

The hell? They're wearing their little-used road unis at home? They look great, but... weird.

God, Woywitka sucks. Why is he in this game? Why is he on this team? No one knows.

the defense hasn't been good enough tonight (obviously). Lehtonen has been average, you can't really blame him for any of the goals except for maybe the first one which was just a scramble, but he's been bobbling pucks and fighting shots off.
If Dallas is going to win with this guy, they need big defenceman that can clear the rebounds and players from in front of the net.

Lehtonen looked good for a goalie that made his 3rd NHL start in a year. So far he's exceeded my expectations.

This is pathetic. Dallas is not a non-playoff team.
Something must be done

eh, as it turns out Dallas is a non playoff team.
Can't do anything about it till the offseason, so let's just enjoy watching Lehtonen and the youngsters play while we can.

Wow the participation in here is impressive.
Lehtonen probably won't look good except in spurts, but jeez can someone on defense clear the crease.
The effort finally appears to be there but too little too late. Where's that been all season?
Honestly three teams can realistically pass the Stars so that's about as good an outcome as they can have. Play well, fight hard, but lose setting the team up for another top ten pick. Damn Atlanta, Tampa Bay, and Florida for not being better. Four or five points just seems too much a separation for these other bad teams.

Back by 7 points and a game ... 12 games remaining ... 5 points in 9 games ... starting now, I believe it's over.
I think it's Crawford ... his message is not getting through and he's not adapting his message to suit what he has here. That said, I'll quote my local hockey leader (Bob Sturm) when I say, "Tip's message seemed to be a lot more persuasive when you had Zubov and Boucher and Norstrom and Mitchell here."
I wonder if the Kings will trade us Doughty ...

It's not Crawford. It's the spare d-core. Daley and Woywitka were brutal.
