General Non-hockey Thread VII

http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?p...1#post24578471

I guess I was enjoying all the beer talk. Sorry about that folks...over 1000 posts so a new thread is needed.

I think it's Josh McDaniels' fault.

No way.

As Knowshon proved he has a hard time breaking 1000.

If it was up to Josh McDaniels, we'd be shipping the thread out for a 4th round pick and whoever is clogging up the Patriots cap space this year.

But seriously.....best beer ever? Bellhaven Scottish Ale...mmmm.

Did you ever try the Stone-Brew Dog collaboration, Bashah? They called it a black double IPA (I think they claimed it was Belgian style too?), but it literally tasted like two different beers from taste to aftertaste. Recommended, but betcha won't want more than one.
I don't think that first one is distributed to Colorado. There are a few good IPA micros from Cali that don't make it here to Colorado (I'm sure that's Josh McDaniels' fault) - I really like Indica IPA from the Lost Coast brewery, but can only get it when I travel to the coast.

I have had the regular Stone IPA - good stuff. Some of those "Imperial IPAs" can get ya. There's one I get here called Hop Wallop, brewed by Victory (I think that's a Pennsylvania brewery, but not sure). Have a few of those, and forget the rest of your evening. ;-)

I'm glad I didn't fill out a bracket - I would have had the Hoyas goin to the quarterfinals at least.

What a disappointment.

pfft, they never would have gotten past Baylor anyways. The Bears are damn good.

(Baylor alum, so I might be biased...)

I had the Hoyas in the final 4, and I also had ND in the elite 8. Basically if i picked a team yesterday they lost except for a few of the favorites.

Speaking of HopWallop, there is a Double IPA night at a local haunt tonight, and that's on the taps. I don't think I've had it on tap before. If I can remember anything, I'll report back.

Not sports related at all, but I found this article interesting.

http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/...online-cities/

It lists the 50 riskiest online cities in the nation.
Denver = #8
Colorado Springs = #15

Well...he did move here within the last year.

In other Broncos news. Word is the Broncos are pushing HARD to open the regular season at home on MNF against the Raiders.

We'll find out tomorrow if they get their wish.

Schefter: Seattle won't give up a 1st for Marshall, and Denver won't accept a 2nd rounder for him.

I believe Seattle traded away their 2nd for Whitehurst anyways (what an unbelievable steal for San Diego btw in that deal).

They've got to find a bidder besides Seattle.

I'd rather both sides man up, learn to live with each other and sign him here long term.

Sounds like a soap opera I've heard before.

Or am I just watching reruns of last Broncos offseason?

I'm getting killed. The last two years, I had picked 14 of the Sweet 16, and 13 of the Sweet 16. This year, I have 6. One whole quarter of my bracket (the Kansas one) is completely gone already.
