So whats the news on him? If i remember correctly he had knee surgery awhile back or something? It looks like it hit him on the side of the knee/thigh

No further update on Milan Michalek's injured leg after the game from Cory Clouston.

Although we suck right now, we're bound to figure it out.

What do you mean really? It was a sad face. I'll be sad if it's serious. What's so "Really?" about that.

Milan is a useful player, but let's be honest if we miss the playoffs it won't be because of Michalek, down the stretch he was on pace for 3 more goals and 1 assist.

It might actually be good. I want him off the top line. For the life of me I cant figure out what he has done to be there. And a rest might do him some good.

+1, I think hes scored 5 goals since christmas (+/- 1), hes been brutal. I see no chemistry with Spezza at all and cannot for the life of me can justify why Clouston keeps him with Spezza. He has 0 creativity and play making ability. San Jose stole Heatley

I'd be very surprised if Heatley hits 50 goals. He's sitting at 36. That still ranks him 6th in goal-scoring, but thank goodness he won't rack up the 60-70 goals that some 'pundits' were predicting.

It's too bad that MM has tailed off so badly. He was playing great. If the guy could bury a breakaway with any consistency, he'd have at least 10 more goals this year.

Those pundits were ********. Anyone thinking he would hit 60 were off their rocker.

I don't disagree. At the time of the trade, I posted in the Sharks forum that I thought Heatley would improve on his 39 goals from last year, but not score more than 40-45 goals with the Sharks this year.

So far, I'm pretty much on track with that.

That said....I saw plenty of hockey analysts on TV predicting 60 or more.

Not really when you look at his statistical history.

But Michalek got people thinking that he was a goal scorer because he got off to such a good start till about Christmas. Kind of like Fisher.

Neither have the hands to be a goal scorer, but at least Fisher has the shot, but he doesn't use it.

So Melynk had to pay Heatley the 4 Million or whatever it was, and now its possible he will buy Cheechoo out in the summer.

Heatley is causing Eugene quite the cash.

Statistical year over year history showed Heatley trending down ( in goal scoring ) not up. That is one of the reasons why I predicted he would not hit 50 goals this season.

my bad, I thought u where talking about MM and points.

I agree, Heatley is regressing, he is getting slower out there, hopefully he doesn't turn into a Cheechoo in 5 years or so

He is replaceable.
