Kings v. Hawks - POSTGAME THOUGHTS & TIDBITS

Crunch time. We need a good outing against the Islanders. It is not like we are in an overly commanding playoff position.

how do they keep their cool out there? losing 3-0 in such an important game, they didn't even show up, yet no one was out there looking angry..

oh well, they still get their paycheck at the end of the day

Embarrassing effort tonight, obviously Chicago is a very good team but that was unacceptable. The fans deserve better.

Hope noone blames the refs. The team didnt deserve hte luxury of having a pp. Actually am embarrased of the team that showed up today agaisnt a beat up and tired Hawks team.

I legit have more faith in JT Dutch as coach of this team than Murray at this point

We haven't been the same since the Olympics. I said this half jokingly at the end of the GDT, but with the way things are going, we may still end up playing phoenix in the first round, but as the 1-8 pair

Horrible showing today, we played the puck and not the body all night so they skated right through us.

Ugly loss, terrible game, if we can't get our act together against the Islanders on Saturday, we're in huge trouble.

Hey now, let's talk about the positives of the game. At least that way the thread will be really short.

Still don't get TM. Willie comes back after 2 months and he is placed right back on the first line. He breaks up Zues and Fro. Drew and Jack are playing lackadaisical. Quick's usual softies. Ivanans in NHL? wtf Brown?

You people are pathetic. It's as if you lack the memory or mental capacity to think beyond the last 6-7 games.

Kings still have a 98.9% chance of making the playoffs even after this loss, and are still 16 games over .500, so let's keep things in perspective a bit.

It was an awful effort, but not the end of the world. It's very disappointing to see that poor of a performance, but it happens. Chicago is a great team. 3-4-1 since the break isn't great, but it's not terrible. The schedule has been brutal and gets easier as the month wears on and in to April.

On to Saturday.

No physical play, no emotion. Welcome back, Kings of 2 years ago. I guess just getting in playoff position was enough.

The entire team just looked like **** tonight. I don't even want to pin it on one guy. That was appalling and disgusting hockey. Give Chicago credit for showing up and being the amazing team they are, but man, for a team that acknowledges their slow starts and discusses their preparation...

Terry Murray's comments: a)We didn't execute well.
b)Didn't show shot mentality
c)We will have a practice tomorrow.

Which one is gonna be this time?

BTW: Did Jack get that assist in the official game sheet ? It was a thing of beauty.

well 6-7 games is a considerable stretch when you consider time of the year and the fact they have played poorly in every game so far since the break except Columbus, but that was against lolcolumbus so not sure if it should count, the first victory over Dallas was a sketchy performance aswell

Plus we are fans so we pay for the right to think short term

I'm not worried because of their record in the past few games. I'm worried because the team that has showed up after the Olympic break looks nothing like the Kings team we saw in the first half.

I'd expect this type of play from Kings teams in the past but not this season. This is as healthy as we have been all year and we are sucking ****.

I'm actually scared to play against the Islanders. They never back down.
