Why wouldn't Richards put Wellman out there more often? He looked like the best Wild player all night long, but he was getting 4th line minutes all night. By my count, he either shot or was in on 4 really solid scoring chances.
Second Blue Jacket goal shouldn't have counted, Umberger bumped into the goalie.
Third Columbus goal was brutal. How do you give Rick Nash a clear-cut one-on-none breakaway from center ice? If you look closely on the replays, it looks like the Minnesota d-men were arguing at the bench as to who should be on the ice.
Well Umberger interfered with Harding on the 2nd, but I don't really care because its better to lose to improve the draft position. Just like how apparently grabbing a stick out of a player's hands isn't a penalty either, but our PP sucks anyways, Richards refuses to use his most valuable asset on it(Zidlicky's one timer).
Wellman was one of our best players, but he needs work defensively. The "peewee" style doesn't cut it in the NHL. Should of scored, I believe it went off Umberger's skate, not Garon.
I don't really blame the Wild for playing back with the lead, we got 3 clear-cut AHL d-man and the other 3 aren't that good either, especially for the $$$ they get. Falk goes out with an injury whos supposed to eat up the minutes? Scott? Sifers? Barker? Zidlicky and Schultz were already playing as much as they could.
