"I think there's obviously some desperation now," centre Jason Spezza said after Friday's practice in Dallas. "We realize we’ve kind of given away our cushion a little bit, but we earned our cushion, so it was there for us to have."
Some more adversity? Must be time to give up again then.
They say how a team responds to adversity shows their character. It sure is revealing amongst the fanbase, that's for sure.
It still surprises me how on the one hand, someone will brag about the league, about how the great parity is, and then in the next thread, fall apart because their team isnt blowing out teams on the bottom end of the 30 equal team spectrum.
There's no surprise to the team what it takes for them to win. When they were winning, they were spending much of the game dominating on the forecheck, or as i liked to call it, the Offensive Zone Trap.
It takes sacrifice, desperation, and execution. Oh and great team work.
It wont come easy, there's no guarantee's. Just opportunity The one's who's opinions shouldn't matter to us are those suggesting we run from it.
