Congrats Doobie. If Detroit misses the playoffs, they can look back at losing those 3 games against the Oilers.

I'm happy the Oilers win, and especially for Dubnyk (his first victory), and a bonus that Detroit also gets a point out of it to keep pace with the Flames.

Congrats Dubnyk! You get your first NHL win, Wings get a point, a win-win situation!

Dubby deserved it, and hopefully this gets his career back on track.

That was great. Most invested I've been in a game in quite awhile. Good on you, Dubs.

Did Brule get a star tonight? GWG and 2 assists and 5 hits. Does this kid get any respect at all?

I think it's safe to say that Potulny is a bonafide NHL player.

Will on 1260, "Brule's wrister is comparable to Joe Sakic"

yeah, no. his shot is solid but the only person with that type of release and accuracy consistently right now is Phil Kessel. maybe a couple others. Semin for sure has an insane rip. dont know if the release is as quick as Sakic or Kessel but its for sure got blazing speed off the release.

Brule's shot is nice, sure, but ive yet to see it be comparable to even Kessel yet.

his shot tonight was nice in the SO but i dont know if its AS good as those two.

Don't forget about the 12 points the Oilers handed the Flames this season.

Good for Dubnyk.

As for Peckham after a decent performance he ends regulation time
with one of the dumbest plays I have seen in quite some time.
Funny thing....that play was a microcosm of this teams strategy when trying to close out games.

I was hoping the PGT thread would be titled "Devan finally rolls his first Dubie" but what can you do?

The shot from Brule is absolutely lethal. He gets it off so kick, and it's so fast. That shot was absolute perfection. Impossible to save. He needs to use it more often, he could score 30 goals with that kind of release.

Good for Dubnyk. Perfect result tonight.

Brule has always had that ability to be a real good player, good to see him doing well this year.

Also way too much kessel nutthugging ITT

After nearly bursting a few blood vessals in my temples 59:59.5 minutes into the game, I was really glad to see Dubnyk get the win. His face, when he came out as the first star, was rather relieved-thrilled.

Congrats to Dubnyk [from AVs fan].

I'm glad you won in this way ! Flames fans are [mostly] disgusting...
