They are going back to Conklin tonight. Good move IMO as tomorrow is the bigger game (of course they are all big) and Conks has been great on the road all year. I expect him to be sharper tonight than he was against the Rangers.

Janssen also in over Kinger

What a fight! That's the longest scrap I've ever seen in the NHL. Kudos to both Janssen and Leblonde and the officials for not stepping in and respecting the fighters' wishes. That was unreal.

Great upper right corner laser shot by Steen with only 13 seconds left in The 1st! That's the way to take over momentum!

Steener my god, what a rocket.

Blues escaped some close calls that period. Need to get more pucks deep in the 2nd and establish a forecheck.

Boyes with a heads up defensive play denies an open-net goal opportunity by Kovalchuk!

Any word on Polak's injury? He had his weight off of his right leg coming off the ice. His shoulder took most of the shock going into the boards. I didn't see his leg twist. But he was sandwiched by two Devils. His leg may have been pinned under him as he went down. It all happened pretty fast.

Still no word. At least he won't be eating through a straw tomorrow.

Probably, they still treat him like the #1 and getting a good game out of Conklin is all they really wanted.

Per Pierre Lebrun during the intermission of the Detroit/Vancouver game:
Doug Armstrong said that Polak is sore but not seriously injured.

Join the club lol Im so superstitious is not even funny... I have a certain site I watch streams from.. if its not available than i sit it out for the good of the team, and look for updates on the GDTs.

We're still hangin around.. but its gettin to the point where we need some help from other teams.

I hate Vancouver even more now. They had the Wings down 2-0 and lost. Now we're 6 out.

Besides Steen's laser, the play of the game was Boyes denying Kovalchuk the wrap-around right at the post. It was an alert play, and for a guy who's taken heat over his lack of attention to defense at times in the past, deserved some notice.

Good team win. PK showed up big, especially on the 4 on 3. Conklin was solid. New Jersey is a good team, and they'll probably win a playoff series or two.

Agreed 2mm, Boyes made a great heads up play there. I thought he was very good in the defensive zone yesterday.

If he keeps up this type of defensive effort then I could see a reemergence from him on offense next year. Many players seem to take a step backwards offensively when they put onus on their defense. If Brad feels more comfortable in his defensive game then he might loosen the grip on his stick in the offensive zone. Granted this is a bit of guess work, as no one knows.
