Francis Bouillon

Habs fan here, I come in peace.

I was wondering, since we don't have a lot of Nashville coverage over here, how has Francis Bouillon been for you guy this year.

Played with his heart on his sleeve during his 9 seasons in Montreal and did a fairly good job during his tenure. His 1st pass in the transition game has always been excellent.

Would Nashville consider re-signing him for next year or are there younger options on the farm that will take his spot? Could he still contribute on an NHL team next season?

IMO it depends on Hamhuis. If Hamhuis leaves, Cube has been legit enough to earn a year or two. Again, just my opinion.

Cube's our one guy who can often play decent while on the ice with Klein. So for that alone he earns
props from me.

He's played solid minutes for a team in a playoff position. So I guess he can still play.
He was a good pickup. He's not spectacular but you can see he's got some veteran savvy. And he still can hit some.

He's the kind of guy I've wanted on our defense for years: a guy who is not afraid to hit people in open ice or along the boards, but also doesn't take a bunch of stupid penalties doing it. We don't really have anyone like that in our system at present, so I hope we re-sign him, but like Kiraly said, I think a lot of it depends on what we do with Hamhuis.

One of the best free agent Poile has made. The Cube has been arguably our third best defenseman this year behind Weber and Suter. Very steady. Good with the puck. Plays physical for his size. Sticks up for his teammates. I didn't know much about him when we signed him other than his name but I would take him on my team any day of the week.

Bouillon >>> Zanon.

I hope we nail this guy down for another year or two, especially if Grebs and Hammer leave. We would have been in deep doodoo had we not made that late signing.

I can count on one hand the bad games this guy has had all year long.

he has been another great, inexpensive, out of nowhere pickup like Goc and Ward.

I think he will be offered a contract here, the question is has he played so well that we wont be able to give him what he can get elsewhere, either in terms of money or years

Bouillon has been great this season one of 2 great signings by Poile last off season the other one being Goc. Bouillon has played great this season he doesn't make many mistakes and as someone else pointed out plays good with Klein (unlike Hamhuis). i really hope we extend him and he plays for us again next season.
