You certainly will have the jersey of a very talented player, it's a nice choice... I was just commenting on the reasoning... Pits' biggest issue is consistent and sustained effort... But damn if he can't make two line stretch passes better than anyone in the league...
There's a good chance that they already have one made. The smaller store on the opposite side of the eye has a ton of jersey's made in all three styles. Off the top of my head, I know they had Sutter, Gleason, Ruutu, and obviously Staal and Ward as of last weekend, but I can't remember if they had any Pitkanens. My guess would be they do, so I would check that out, you might be able to walk in and get one without having to wait for it to be made.
Okay, after much agonizing, it's going to be Pitkanen on one of them since he works harder than anybody I know (his minutes are astonishing!), and what a skater! WOW ... (And the monkeys love him ...)
Going to get this done during next Saturday's game. Exactly where do I have it done on the lower level? THANKS!
Good choice. Of course I've got a Pitkanen jersey myself, so I might be biased.
Across from Sec 113 is the jersey store. They have some pre-made, but if you don't find the color you want they'll do it right there. If you go before the game starts, you'll be able to pick it up after the 1st period.
Of course if you want it sewn, they'll have to send it off and it'll be anywhere from 2-6 weeks. All mine have been heat pressed there at the arena and they have done a great job on all.
Thanks for all your responses and info, guys! I have a white sweater and a black sweater but neither personalized. I was all ready to get Bret Hedican, then he left. Then, Cory Stillman ... he left. Then Scotty Walker ... he's gone.
Now I've decided to bite the bullet, and go ahead ... so I'm definite on Pitkanen on the black. Now I'm having a heck of a time deciding on the other one but leaning toward Whitney. Will keep you posted ...
I got my 7th Eric Staal jersey last night at my hometown OHL game. Bid on it in an auction and ended up winning, signed jersey to. I now have Eric Staal personalized - Carolina home, away, third, home (signed), Peterborough Petes OHL, All-Star (MVP) and team Canada 2010 Olympic.
Hey guys ... The monkeys and I are back, and getting fired up! Who else is ready for dancing monkeys? (I expect them to dance a lot this year! )
Now, on the subject of these jerseys, if I took them to the Eye right now, I understand that I'd only have the option of them being sent away for weeks to be sewn on, and they're more expensive, right?
So, if I want them pressed on, I go to the jersey store across from section 113 after the season starts, and get them done during the game, right?
Okay ... still getting Pitkanen ... who else, who else, who else? (NOT Whitney, for sure ...) I really, really like way too many of these guys!!! (Though I know no one can!)
yeah, I want to see if he sticks with that for 2011-12 though. No offense to the guy (obviously, he's one of my favorite players), but didn't Timmy have 2 different numbers here before he settled on #6?
The story on McBain was that 28 was what he was issued by the team, and that he never intended to keep it. A. Ward leaving left 4 available, and I doubt McBain will be getting rid of it unless we acquire some high profile player that is attached enough to 4 for McBain to give it up for them to pay McBain for it.
Gleason was 8 and 42 before 6. He gave up 8 when Cullen came back because he didn't have any attachment to it like Cullen did. I assume he went to 42 because he wore that in LA. When Hedican left, he moved to 6 as some kind of "tribute". He's probably done changing too.
You still see a few Gleason 8's and 42's, I just look at it as a sign of somebody who's been a fan for awhile. No shame in having a McBain 28 either, just means you got on the wagon before everyone else did.
oh yeah, believe me I have no problem with them. I still have my Weekes 80 that I break out now and again. Before then I was looking at getting a Francis 21, but I knew he was going back to 10 if the opportunity ever came up.
