Since Roman was out for warmups, I'm going to assume this will be the only game he misses.
I hope D'ags shows us something.

May I ask why 7 other forwards average more time than Steen who plays on the PP and PK and has 38 points in his last 42 games (20 goals as well)

thanks

Its just a matter of what line and assignments he needs to fulfill. Honestly, he is not bad five on five, but there are other players who should be ahead of him and in our top six and they are there.

He is a great third liner and plays with McClement and Boyes quite often so there is some skill on that line.

Love how the refs managed to see MacDonald hold Weber but completely missed Berglund being blatantly tripped towards the end of the 2nd. Nevermind, Perron just backhanded it in. Screw you refs.

Add the high stick to Oshie. But this is what is to be expected when Auger is reffing.

Well I think that pretty much ends the Blues' season, it's going to be tough to come back now. It was tough with this win, almost impossible without it.

Blues get screwed by the refs and respond with poor play, loosing a lead at home. That about sums up the year!

The veterans kill us again. Kariya was setup all night long. Sydor playing def. from his knees was rediculous and everyone on the ice got caught watching the puck on the game losing goal. Refs blew again, no shock there with Ogea. Can this season just end already!

we looked horrible third period, looked like every game in december lol. well this prettymuch seals up the coffin on the playoffs, sucks we wont even get a really high pick either.

game really does sum up the season though. flashes of great talent and effort. refs not calling anything for us and then a few minutes of playing on our heels and instantly we are trying to tie the game at the last minute.

"maybe next year"

at least now everyone knows this team needs a little bit of a facelift

Now we see just how much Polak is worth. With Sydor in instead, all the other defenceman had to pick up the extra minutes Sydor couldn't play, and they were all tired (bad combination in an early travel game after a game last night).

Playoff chances are pretty much over.

We also see that The Blues need a big and tough defenceman to clear the crease, punish opposing forwards and also help with scoring, -as well as a goalie who can steal games, and a scoring forward who can make his own quality offence, all on his own.

I don't think The Blues can wait for Berglund, Eller, Perron or Oshie to become that player. Not sure if they can wait for E.J., Pietrangelo and Cole to mature, before shoring up their defence with a veteran quality addition. Not sure they can go far into the playoffs with their current goaltending tandem.

This offseason will be very, very important to the Blues' next five years.

I can't really blame Kariya. BUT Sydor was up to his usual pathetic self. Yet the collapse was on everyone, not just the vets. Polak's presence really was missing on D. A game like today makes me think we need to have a defensive D in our back pockets for times like these next year.
