What I like about this was that 1) it worked, and 2) it gives the Sharks a new option for the playoffs. TM knows he can pull this out again and it certainly presents a bigger challenge for other teams to match up against.
Teams can't simply shut down JT and kill our offense. It will be interesting to see if TM uses it again.
only 17 shots for last night, but they were quality. the big guys were the ones getting the shots as well.
3 for marleau and jumbo
2 for pavelski, heater, blake.
seto was the only main "offensive" guy who was without a shot.
it was defensive minded, but it made minnesota cover 3 strong lines.
The best part about the slump is that it came with games still left to play in the regular season and were/are able to play through it and still live to play another day.
To expect him to have made a big difference the first game back was wrong. He should continue to improve and help make the Sharks what they were before he went down.
As long as we look as good or better than last night, losing tomorrow won't hurt me "much".

The best part of a slump is that it's still better than having to to through a tax audit, a trip to the dentist, listening to the neighbor's kid play his accordian, hearing another neighbor blast his "Barry Manilow's" greatest hits (?) 8 track, and also hear him try and sign to it...3 day old tuna casserol...Old Milwaukee beer (taste like listerine) ...
LOL...It was late and I was finishing a beer after watching Ducks-Canucks...I wished he'd "signed" to it...It's an HOA, I should complain then again the neighbor is harmless otherwise...I would rather him do that then hang a Anaheim Ducks banner in his window, then we would really have an issue...

I like these kind of line pairings in the playoffs. Have an energy/hard worker on each line as it really inspires and complements the skill players games. Adds more defensive awareness, balances out the lines so as to be hard to defend against, etc.
I think we'll see this more for sure in the playoffs.

Yeah good thing there is no Ducks banner. Since I live So Cal on my wall is all Sharks stuff and on the Desk is SJ related pucks.
But go into my IT department and on this lady's wall is Duck crap and that damn Stanley Cup replica staring me back in my face. It's depressing to say the least.

Exactly! The best part about a losing streak is it doesn't matter if you're playing decently and just coming out on the wrong end. The flipside was also the worst part of this last streak - we deserved to lose every game we did, and we even won a few we probably shouldn't have.
here's to seeing good efforts in the last 10 games regardless of outcome.
