Best forward prospect of this group

Pick a forward that you want in your fantasy team. Wich of these you see has most potential to be a top 6 player?

None of them is a 1st rounder:

Tomas Jurco, Brett Ritchie, Nikita Kucherov, Alexander Khokhlachev, Calle Jarnkrok, Johnny Gaudreau, Colton Sissons, Taylor Beck, Dimitrij Jaskin, Ty Rattie, Nick Kerdiles, Max Reinhart, Corban Knight, Chris Tierney, Brock McGinn, Anders Lee, Danny Kristo, Ryan Spooner, J.T. Compher, Andreas Athanasiou

You can also add a player from recent years draft who is not 1st rounder or playing in NHL full time.

Gaudreau and Kucherov have the highest offensive potential of the bunch.

That's purely on offense. If you have categories like hits, you should look at Rattie, McGinn, Miller.

BTW, is Riley Barber taken in your league?

If Ondrej Palat is still available you should really so everything you can to get him.
Otherwise I would pick Gaudreau or Kucherov out of that Groupy.

I'm not going to look up all their stats.... but Anders Lee has been a PPG player at every level, posted 41pts in 54g his rookie AHL season (this year) and 14p in 22g in his brief call up to the NHL (again this year).

Not saying he should be #1, but I doubt many on that list have come close to that kind of production.

I'd take Kucherov.

I agree.

But for offense, I'd say Kucherov.

Another name worth considering: Oliver Bjorkstrand

Should have qualified it with before this year, his rookie AHL season.... where I believe he was among the leaders in rookie scoring before being called up to the NHL.

Surprised Spooner hasn't gotten any mentions, he had 11 assists in 23 games with the bruins this year and is pretty much PPG in the AHL.

Out of all them I would probably go with Jarnkrok.

I've heard nothing but good about him, but I'm still curious to see how his size works out in the NHL.

Not sure who it will end up being from that group. Maybe Kucherov or someone.

I will say that, as a Red Wings fan, Jurco was a pleasant surprise this season. Kid came in with the dangling videos and seemed to be a potential playmaker with good puck skills.

His play though was a surprise as he played with a big body, goes to the dirty areas, and showed good toughness. All of that was a good surprise to go with his good puck skills which didnt' go away.

He's going to have to start the year in GR next year but he'll be midseason call up like Nyquist. When he does come up I'm hoping he gets time on a line with Datsyuk and Zetterberg as he's a player that could really help a top 6 line.

I'll say Ritchie. Dallas has an excellent track record with finding and developing power forwards taken after the first round. Highly unlikely, but wouldn't it be cool if the Stars could somehow move up and draft his brother Nick? The biological bash brothers.

I don't think it's a guarantee he starts in GR next year. The Wings seem to be learning the league has changed and young players are more prepared for the NHL than they ever have been before. Holland learned his lesson with the Nyquist/Tatar-Cleary/Bertuzzi debacle. I think they'll give Jurco every chance to make the team. It's not like the Wings are gonna be huge players in free agency. There aren't many players available that are worth a damn. Who knows if Alfie comes back. Weiss might not ever fully recover from his hernia surgery as he is still having issues with it. There will probably be a couple roster spots up for grabs in training camp.
