Yeah, those things won't really change if it's put off for another month but it would be nice to have some college discussion. It's a big part of the Minnesota hockey scene and quite frankly, the NCAA forum on HF is a ghost town.
I hope so since last year's thread basically consisted of me discussing one of the semi games during a Wild GDT. I forget which game it was, but that was my favorite GDT so far.

Hell, on Ninja's board we had a HS thread that went 10 pages! Not a huge contingency on his board, but the few of us there talked more about that than we did about the NHL/Wild when it came tourney time!
Obviously the Semi games you must've been talking about was the Skippers/Pioneers game that went 8mins short of the record longest in history? I was there that night!

I'm only good for about 60 posts by myself (it was both games, but mainly the Edina-AV one in the GDT), but looked it up and there was a separate HS tourney thread with 27 posts. That can be beat.
AV outplayed Edina for 2 periods in that game... unfortunately they couldn't get the goals to show for it, and their lack of forward depth had them completely gassed by the 3rd period.
Gopher: I had to thank you and others for your work in getting the Wild forum jump-started. It was embarrassing being on HF and seeing other fans miffed as to why our forum was dead. Well, it's alive now! Unfortunately the official forums are officially dying, but this is a much better place. We had 5 times the posts in the draft thread alone. Let's keep it up!
Granted half of ours are bickering, but I think these boards have pretty much taken over popularity, and are a heck of a lot more interesting and friendly.

I wouldn't call it bickering, I'd call it healthy message board debating.
Edit: One thing I would suggest to keep things going...
Use your moderation duties liberally. If someone cannot stand being moderated, then they don't need to be here.
Fortunately, that hasn't really been the case so far but I have kept that in mind as the forum has grown since too much leeway is a bad thing for a large message board.

We have had a trickle of refugee's from the main boards + a some new fans + Bandwagoners (Cant stop it)
In a couple years you will have a larger group of posters and it will be more lively here
I'll take a couple months, but then again you have shown to be able to predict the future with the name "Blackhawkswincup."
One thing you shouldn't OVERDUE when moderating is thread merging. Sure, merge the obvious threads that talk about the exact same thing, but sometimes one thread can spawn a need for a new thread, that on the surface can look like the same subject but meant for a completely different direction.
KF on the official boards didn't always see that and merged threads that had no business being merged.

Werd. Big issue that killed off a lot on my car board was merging EVERYTHING that basically mentioned something from another thread. People get lost that way and then you get reposts.
I'll be honest - personally I'm a fan of just having few giant threads, but it seems like I'm in the minority. I'd rather keep some of the big things in one thread, but really as long as there's not a very similar subject being actively discussed on the first couple pages (i.e. there was a new thread asking about Granlund started today about two or three threads above the giant "Welcome Mikael Granlund" one which I just merged) it's fine.
Well you're active enough and we're open enough that if everyone starts to feel like there's too much or not enough moderation we can come here and talk about it. Same team.
I'm not a fan of giant threads. It's a pain if you need to sort through 8 pages to find a particular post on a broad topic (like all Wild draft picks vs. a thread dedicated to each prospect).

Reason: interested in actual PICKS, not pics of draft picks

That was one of the aspects of the Wild.com forum that drove me away as well. If you only stop in once in a while, a 50 page thread is a disincentive to participate. Obviously you don't want multiple threads on the same topic, but specific topics shouldn't be lumped into a general one imo.

To be fair, it's 203 posts of Granlund, 4 of Bulmer and 2 of Zucker.
