Wow, Eberle only 14th!

I have to question the people making this list. Did they even watch Eberle play? How can Kadri be above Eberle. The pandering to leaf fans destroys the credibility of the list.

I think P.K. Subban over MPS is worse than Kadri over Eberle.

Sounds about right too me, problem is its a brutal list and theres quite a few players with a worse ranking then Eberle that should be better. Pure comedy they have Backlund at 11th

Backlund at 11 is pretty funny.

Personally, to be considered the 14th best prospect out of hundreds of players seems like an accolade rather than anything negative.

Also I love how Gustavsson made it pretty high despite being one of the oldest on the list and progressing the least. They basically didn't have a single positive thing to say about his season yet he is in the top 25.

Another notable logistical error on the list. The majority of prospects are based on how they "might" play come the time they make the NHL, if they do at all. The writers should be taking hard evidence into consideration then like they can with Gustavsson, and it's hard to see how an older goalie (prospect wise) would garner such a huge rating on the list considering this very pedestrian season.

Goncharov has never ever been in the top 50, Karlsson never cracked top 20 and now this

These rankings are a well known joke. No one would trade either Eberle or Svensson for Backlund. Remember how Lehtonen was #1 for two straight years? Yeah.

Mikael Backlund is the most overrated prospect I've ever seen.

What's funny is, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume Hodgson is #1!

Backlund and Kadri as high as they are... HF just lost almost all its credibility.

Pathetic rankings.

If you want a laugh check out the homer leafs fans in the prospect section.

Is it really appropriate to be listing Eberle as a centre? I admit to pure ignorance as to what he played for Regina but at the WJCs he was a wing and pretty much all the projections in the NHL suggest he's a winger. I can't imagine he'll see any time at centre for the Oilers given how the Gagner-Cogliano duo has been handling bigger centres.

HAhahahahaha What a horrible list. Ever since HF got bought out, their reporting and ranking has really gone downhill.

Backlund at 11. The entire reason seems to be that he's all Calgary has and will get minutes. And he's a solid 2-way player. Him above either of MPS or Eberle is a complete joke. And ahead of Kane?!? Seriously?!? Hahahahahahahaha.

Phew. I needed that, thanks HF.

That could be the worst prospect ranking I have ever seen, by anybody. Its not just how the Oilers got shafted, but everything really.

I can't believe they actually published that.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Eberle is a considered a winger by most, but judging solely by the rankings in the article you can't really expect much of the article to be correct.

Proof will be in the pudding

I always hate it when people have to put labels on players or make lists. So-and-so will be a 3-4 defenseman I think OR so-and-so I think will be a solid 20 goal scorer, maybe 30 in his prime... [me turns around and walks away].

I find it all very annoying. But I'm so addicted to hockey rumors and stats that I can't stay away from here :p

I wonder if the guy that compiled these "rankings" is the same guy who was all over the board early in the season telling us all how Hemsky is rubbish .
