Thank God... Doughty didn't give it to Stoll which he was supposed to do.

I bet a million bucks that Stoll would be shooting it off target. wide, high.. make your pick.

I am watching the game now. I already know what happened as I asked JDM to text me the score during the get together at City Hall - great view from the top of the City Hall building in downtown but the newly elect LA City Attorney Carmen Trutanich was...let's just say, he was an "interesting" individual.

In any event, if the first period is any indication of this game, holy smoke, this game is back and forth hockey and I am not sure Galiardi could have had a more open net on the bad pass by Quick. He scores that, 2-0, may be a different game the rest of the night.

Back to the love fest, Brown was more than just hitting tonight, he was 'chippy'. He was like Clune and himself rolled into one.
I actually thought JJ had a pretty ok game. Randy Jones on the other hand...

Totally agree on Brown. The last few games, he's definitely added that sandpaper element to his game. To me he is the one player giving 200%... though it's not always efftective. He still goes pinballing all over the place like an out of control speed freak, but he's been getting in the scrums, standing up for teammates, standing up for himself, hacking, whacking, dirty... I really like it.

The recent Dustin Brown almost reminds me of Brenden Morrow lite...

Kopitar with a hit on Duchene and then followed by a cold shoulder seconds later behind the net. I drew wood.

Jones makes me ill. Take the worst of our defenders on the worst nights, bottle it and you have Old No. 12.

I have no idea if this comment was directed towards me, but I did delete my last comment because it was too OT.

Great energy! It did feel a lot like a playoff game.

Still though, how nervous were you all everytime Quick handles the puck? Jeez. There were a couple times that nearly led to easy goals.

I brought friends to the game that aren't big hockey fans. My buddy leaned over pretty early in the game to comment how scary Quick with the puck is. Really wish he would give up trying to handle it.

Real fun game to be at. Had an older guy try to get me kicked out. Redcoats just moved his seats a couple of sections away instead. I took it as a win for me

Dear TM,

Please put Drewiske back in the lineup, watching Randy Jones play makes me sick to the stomach.

the worst is when the Frolov-Halpern-Clune line is out with Jones-Greene on D, I literally close my eyes during that 1-2 minutes of action, so scary

Randy Jones has that awesome deer in headlights look when playing defense. He has no idea how to position himself or who to tie up. Jack is still a little too aggresive in trying to get into the offensive zone. If TM would just give the kid some more PP time I'm sure he'll learn to relax. O'D is really fighting the puck on his stick these days. Greene has been SOLID. Great game.

I honestly love seeing JJ-DD on the PP instead of Stoll-DD, the only problem with JJ-DD is that the D for our second PP unit would consist of Doughty-Jones, and that's like double shifting him

I was utterly terrified when Modin and Jones were on the ice at the same time. At least Modin can make up for it with a smart offensive zone game.

God I can't wait for Wednesday. How did we get lucky enough to have this matchup 3 times in our last dozen games? This is war, plain and simple, and I love it.

is it possible to be the most overrate person in the league and yet still live up to it?

That would have to be Drew Doughty
