Nope. Neither is Voynov.
I remember breathing a sigh of relief when DL dropped to pick Teubert instead of picking Myers. Myers, I thought, had bust written all over him and looked to be far from a finished product - years from the NHL. I thought Teubert was closer to becoming a strong NHLer. Suffice it to say, pie squarely in face.

DL and co terribly mismanaged their trades on draft day. After making a great choice on Doughty, they passed on Myers to get Teubert & Campbell.

It's interesting that Schenn ranked higher than Kane. I wonder what's their logic.

Yeah, thank god for 2003, selecting a mid second round prospect at best and a looooong term project with 2 first round picks in the deepest nhl draft in history.

WHY WE CHOSE TEUBERT
Because the Kings needed a safe, defensively sound prospect. They did not need to gamble on Tyler Myers. For the future, keeping Teubert under the cap is going to be easier than keeping Myers. We have Doughty, think about it, he's amazing and will likely require a high cap hit in a few seasons. Add Hickey, who might be really good offensively after he develops and you find out you're gonna have to say goodbye to some people. Relax, future is bring, even without Myers.

This is one of the weakest arguments i hear on this board. Give me a break, your telling me now you would rather have Teubert then Myers because of cap purposes? Give me a break.

I will admit during the draft i did not want Myers (looked like a guy that would take a long long time to develop) and was hoping for Teubert. I was wrong and thats about it. If we could do the draft over we should have gotten Myers period.

I will agree with you though that regardless of Myers we have a bright future and i am excited to see how all these kids turn out. I am really excited about seeing Loktionov in the lineup.

Hickey shouldn't be ranked. I think he is still sitting on these types of things just because be was a high 1st rounder and not because of his actual production. We reached and are getting burned on that pick....

lmao.. ya, the captain of the junior canadian team that won gold is a reach. Thomas Hickey has been injured but was definitely not a reach, you'll see.
