Los Angeles Kings @ Colorado Avalanche 6:00PM PDT FSW HD 3/24/10

If it ain't broke (I'll update this after the morning skate if there are any changes)...

Richardson-Kopitar-Simmonds
Modin-Handzus-Brown
Frolov-Halpern-Clune
Smyth-Stoll-Williams

Johnson-O’Donnell
Jones-Greene
Scuderi-Doughty

Quick

Assuming Modin doesn't spot them a goal this time, I like the Kings chances.

It'll be interesting to see how much of an impact having the last change has on Colorado's offense. I imagine Colorado will be looking to avoid the Duchene/Kopitar match-up however possible.

The Kings got quite a welcome when they arrived in Denver (reports are they did make it in before the airport was closed) http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/36017029/ns/weather/

Probably one of the biggest games of the year. Lets see how the Boys handle the pressure tonight.

3-2 Kings

Kopi, Doughty, JJ

Based on ice time, the Stoll line should be #3.

Here's to Quick getting his 40th win of the season!

Time for the boys to show that they excel on the road for whatever reasons.

They were looking for him to get the puck back for the one-timer, and he's got a reputation for being able to score from that side. They cheated on it, they stayed in front of Stolly, and that's a good read by Doughty."

I think eveyone on the planet knows that the Kings always pass back to Stoll for the one-timer. I say use Doughty as the PP coach and fire Kompon.

The Kings (average age: 26.3) and Avs (26.7) are two of the four youngest teams in the League. L.A. has eight players age 25 under currently on its roster, while the Avalanche have 11.

Wow, didn't realize that half of the Avs roster is below 26 years old. Probably due to some injuries.

I think the youth is due more to the fact that this was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Avalanche, but their youth has far exceeded expectations.

Definitely. Anderson helped too. They are fun to watch.

Nah, not really. O'Reilly and Duchene both came out of last year's draft, which is frighteningly awesome for the Avs. Stastny, Stewart and Mueller are also pretty damn young. Big contributors, too.

Really, really looking forward to this one.

The Avs age is skewed by 800 year old Adam Foote still on the roster.

Seriously. We got dumped on last night.

I'll be at the game tonight. Been looking forward to this one all season (First game of the season in Denver). I'll be repping in my L.A. Deadmarsh jersey.

Should be a good one.

I wonder why Hammond lists Stoll's line as the 4th line. Clearly, any line with Clune or Halpern should be the fourth line. I believe Stoll's line should be the second line.

If we win tonight it's still possible to catch Phoenix, 3 games in hand.

Not liking Greene and Clune out. What is up with TM saying he wants Harrold out there as an insurance policy for 44DD? Where is Jones' insurance policy every night?
