Yep.. Ruffs tirade after the Sabres 4th penalty got the refs in the Sabres corner the rest of the game with 6 straight PP's....A lot of questionable calls by the refs tonight on both sides..

BS game but this is the NHL so what do you expect...

And to say we could have had Lemaire.

Gainey REALLY crapped the bed this summer.

lol, you are bashing him for putting Gill on the ice.

He's a PK beast. You accuse him of having the wrong guys on the ice in the final seconds. Gill has been a shot blocking machine, and played well defensively all game.

As for Obie, you can't run two defensive pairings for the final five minutes of a game. You need to roll your bench, and Obie ****ed up when his turn came around.

How about the rest of the team?
No one is arguing that the team didn't execute offensively especially in the 1st and 2nd periods. This should have been a blow-out for our side but it wasn't.

In the last few minutes of a game, the coach impacts the game by the kind of match-ups he can get. If you don't think match-ups mean anything then you haven't watched enough hockey.

It made no sense to have AK & Cammy out there. It was poor bench management by JM.

But, we're also back to a smurf line-up and that really needs to change. When we really needed to we couldn't win a board battle to save this game. That's why Buffalo had so much pressure late. They just physically overwhelmed us.

Price hating at the Gazette

I encourage all of you to send an email to the following address to complain about Hickey's general biased opinion toward Price:

letters@thegazette.canwest.com

I'm sure some of you are unaware, but after tonight's game, a game where Price was nowhere even close to the reason why we lost, Hickey decided that "Price blows 2-goal lead in Buffalo" was the best title for his article about the loss. The ****ing panzy had the audacity to change it later on to "Habs blow...".

This guy is ****ing pathetic. He needs to be off the Gazette's columns. You cannot have a reporter who is so blatantly biased reporting for such a reputable news outlet.

I encourage all of you to write to the editor. It's damn ****ing time.

Yeah, that's definitely not what I wrote. There's no way in hell he'd be better than Markov.

All I said, was that Markov didn't play well tonight. He's like a Fabrege egg though. No poster is allowed to touch him. While guys like Gill and Spacek get HAMMERED on this board at every opportunity.

It is man. It's ****in unbearable. I can't wait for one of the two to get traded just to make this stupid debate end. The problem is probably Desjardins will be backup and if he plays a good game, there will be another stupid debate.

The thing is, Price made the big save in the final minute. Unfortunately, Gaustad got to the puck first after.

so I get out of class and catch the game at the bar in my school with 10 min to go. To my surprise we were up 2-0 when I'd pegged this team to loose. With time winding down, Buffalo looked completely deflated and beat and I bought myself a beer in a celebration of a productive day topped with a surprised Habs lead. The rest is history.

Obyrne cost this team. End of story. Poor Price just has no backing.

In the big picture getting a point on the road in Buffalo is a positive result. It keeps them moving up the standings. The must-win game is tomorrow against Florida. They can't lose that game, especially with New Jersey coming in on Saturday.

Ya for all the tools AK has , he is just plain dumb most of the time on the ice...all the tools and no toolbox ...... he looks like he has no idea what to do and where to be.

JM is plain and simple ... boring .. no excitement to a game. I think he prefers to have a 0-0 game all the time and hope for a shootout goal. The Habs may have a fast team but they can't pass , almost never control the play in the offensive end.. have so much trouble getting the puck out

Boucher can not get here fast enough... would be nice to out coach another team once in awhile

Oh well .... on the bright side if you go read most all the other teams the fans are all *****ing and complaining about their team, GM, coach etc.... go read NYR, Philly,Bos,Ott etc so many teams so equal good one night bad the next

Also, what people fail to understand is the Pleks line wasn't even going to be out there for the last shift of the game, there was two shifts left.

All the PK guys had just been on the penalty kill, they were tired. Martin throws out his best line of the game that is fresh and happens to have our best two way center on it. The humanity.

Did anyone see the defensive play Cammalleri made in the slot by pushing the puck with his glove to his stick?

You guys can sit there and crap on Martin all night, but the simple fact is all you are using hindsight as your basis for your argument, which holds no weight in a real game situation.

Pouliot is really a mystery. He went from an inspired player to a lazy floater. They benched him in the 3rd. About time they sent him a message. His ice time went from over 20 mins to less than 10 mins.

Outnumbered.

There weren't many times we got outworked. A couple of failed clears and a couple of bad bounces.

Memo to Gill and Hammer: you are not goalies, so stop trying playing like one.
That doesn't help your goalies

And Brodeur or Fleury should have been on the ice instead of Luongo.

And they should have drafted Brule over Price.
