First goal is a fluke and also never happens if Johnson is stronger in front of the net and then doesn't kick the puck in.

Second goal was on a powerplay during which Stoll had no stick and the PKers had no idea what to do after that happened. Great shot by a sniper in Hejduk.

Third goal is because Doughty blocked a pass into his own net...a pass that was going absolutely nowhere.

I think Duchene has generational gamebreaker written ALL over him. That guy is ridiculously good, and only 19. He could and likely will be as good, if not better than Kopitar.

We should've won that shootout though, Ersberg just couldn't make a save

Haven't read any of your comments yet, but solid effort. We need to stay out of the penalty box (seriously, Richardson? 3 high sticking penalties??). We dominated 5 on 5. If we didn't have the penalty fest 1st period, we would have won this game.

Love the Richardson-Kopi-Simmonds line. They have a great cycle and jump.

Great to see Ersberg come in cold and play well. Solid point. We needed it and I feel like we didn't lose anything by not getting 2.

Let's hope we come out with hop tonight. We need these two points.

I agree wholeheartedly. If nothing else, it's just gonna be a great matchup to watch for a long time. Right now, Kopitar just ragdolls him in the corners, though

That's not to say Colorado isn't getting a few outstanding years from rookies, but if all else fails they'll have Stastny and Duchene to lean back on; Columbus and St. Louis didn't have that depth in the middle last year, and it's shown this year.
I agree with this. Colorado is young and will only get better. Well-built team.

Thoughts from Pepsi Ctr (row 6!):

Pretty much everyone played great, especially Frolov and EE.
This team is built for the playoffs.
I thought the coaching/line combo switches were truly excellent.
Would like to see Doughty in the shootout.

I just watched the game this morning. Was playing hockey last night only to come home at like 23:30 to learn that my grandparents were in the neighborhood and needed a place to stay within 20 minutes. So I finally got around watching it after they left this morning >.<

I think Ersberg played well given the circumstances and you can't really fault him too much given how things went down. I was happy to see the big boys step up and take the reigns of the game like Kopitar, Doughty, and Frolov. It was a great comeback, it is nice to get 3 points out of a possible 4 out of the two games but irritating that they gave the very same to the team 1 point behind us. Hopefully we can shake it off and still keep our energy and spirits high for the Blues game tonight.

I agree, and I've said as much in the past in posts about the Avs. Duchene is the real deal, but not yet. He's been quiet as a peacock the last two games matched up against Kopitar and the Smyth-Stoll line.

I was in row 7, section 110. What section were you in?
