Is Huet getting the start for sure? I've been trying to nail that down but haven't found anything definitive...and honestly, I'm a bit surprised since Niemmi's got the 2 shutouts in the past 3 games.

Yes he is. Quenneville usually splits back-and-backs

On Comcast Sports Plus (aka CLTV)... which I don't have. Hurrah.

Official site says Huet starts. Also it's on at 6, not 7.30.

Odd start time comparing it to the western road trip of last week.

Hopefully the Hawks come out flying, play a good solid 60 minutes and win 4-1.

But it's not back-to-back, Niemi had a day off yesterday and now he would have two more before we see the Jackets at home.

Hopefully Huet comes out a little bit hungry after watching Niemi get two SO's in his last three games.

I think he meant back to back against the same team.

Not so sure about starting Huet, but I guess he deserves another shot after that terrible Philly game. (Has he really not played since then?)

It'd be nice to clinch tonight, but it's not a must-win by any means.

It's Huet's turn to show his stones. Niemi has answered as of late, and now it's Huet's time to step his game up. Is there any word on Johnsson yet?

Here is TSN's 'By the numbers' for todays game:

BLACKHAWKS (46-19-7) at BLUE JACKETS (29-32-12)

- CHI is 4-0-0 vs CBJ this season, winning 3 of the games by 1G
- CBJ have won 3 of their past 4 home games, allowing 3 or fewer goals in each of the wins
- CBJ have gone 0 for 19 on the PP over their past 5 games
- CHI has gone 2-0-1 over their past 3 games, Niemi with shutouts in the 2 wins
- CHI has gone 1 for 16 on the PP over their past 4 games
- Kane has 2G, 2A over his past 3GP
- Toews has 3G, 3A vs CBJ this season
- Huselius has 2G, 4A vs CHI this season
- Nash has 3G, 1A vs CHI this season

I don't like that PP number at all.

I really want Huet to OWN this game. It's time for him to pick up his play so we can ride "Hot Hand Huet" into the playoffs. Let's go back to that October-December goalie form, where we had legitimate 1a and 1b goalies.

Go Hawks!

Or it's time for Huet to take another serious crapper to solidify Niemi as a starter. Sadly, I expect a poor performance out of Huet after sitting for so long...
