I agree with you.

Apparently, the players like them more. More than one has commented that it seems they play better in them. Perhaps that went into the decision-making process.

Hey, anything to get these guys motivated..........

Wait a second, playoffs? Not a fan of the move to be honest, it cheapens the alternate.

agree 100%.

The 3rds are pretty bad (and not the good bad either).

It was a good going to the NYI game last weekend and seeing NYI in their whites - finally a jersey design combo worse than the Kings (and that's saying a lot).

I think the thirds are just okay. There's not much effort into the design or the creativity but it is slick.

There are a few teams in the league that actually have third jerseys that marketing probably spent more than an hour thinking up (Chicago, Long Island, Buffalo, Boston, etc).

The best white-outs were the Winnipeg Jets by far. They had an advantage.

Horrible news. The 3rd jerseys are an embarrassment.

I mean they're not as bad as the Ducks regular jerseys, but they're still terrible.

Plus, the purple is the only thing that makes the Kings stand out, jersey-wise. Kinda cool being the only team with that colour.

If the third jerseys had a black and white crown logo instead of the weird LA crest, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE the thirds. I think they should be our homes next year. Update the purple jerseys from like 06-07 with the strings at the neck to be the third.

It has a crown underneath the LA part.

I'd say we bring back the Burger King jerseys for the playoffs (if we get there)

Not a bad jersey by any means, and maybe better than what they have now, but my first gripe is that:

1. the shield is way too busy. I mean how many more things could have they fit in there. It's almost as busy as the Minn bear/truck/river/tree/moon/shotgun/star/elevator
2. I like the thick bottom stripe, but the "Los Angeles" was lame when these jerseys were introduced and it's still lame

The longer angled accent shoulder stripes are much better than the RBK one they have now.

It may be a "slight improvement" over what they have now, but I like the crown as the logo much better than the shield.

Still that that after losing in their lucky 3rds today? Don't think Scuderi thinks that after that beauty of a goal.

A blackout is appropriate, considering the lights at Staples will be shut off when the Kings are eliminated.

The Jet's whiteout was a great showing of fan support. On the other hand the blackout is just stupid. Many people are wearing black regardless, but even worse is that a bunch of people wearing black in the lower bowl looks an awful lot like a bunch of empty seats.
