One of the guys especially was a flipper.... Living with that kind of gaydar tunes your own gaydar WAAAAY up.

Have a little faith. If I was stuck for an hour with any of them, I could tell you if they were or were not.

Fair enough. I'm only saying some gays are just very hard to spot. I've got an uncle that are gay, and it took me about 15 years before I realized.

Don't know how we got into this discussion? Back to the Red Wings being the best NHL franchise I think.

It's me. My mind goes fifty million miles a minute, so I take everything way off track. It's always my fault.

Detroit and Columbus tied for 6th in meanest fans? Neither team's fans have really struck me as hostile most of the time.

42% extrapolated over 30 teams is about 13 teams. And it could be only one per team, on those 13. 13 out of a total of about 700 in the league is a really small number. That's a minimum though, I'm sure there are more.

Well, Kronwall is 29, single, and kinda has a fruity voice Plus, if you were a gay hockey player and didn't want people to know, what's one of the best ways to throw people off your trail? That's right, make big, bone-crushing hits! I'm not speculating, just observing Wouldn't change my opinion of him, or anyone else, one iota though. And, really, I don't care to know. Not my business.

Kronner isn't gay. I promise.

Sexuality aside, really cool to see Hank and Dats rated so high amongst their peers.

And, really, Fugu, no comment on Babcock being voted the smartest coach? How did HiHD let this slip by? Your comments, please, Fugu

Good to see Phaneuf in the top vote-getters for most over-rated. Truth. Pee-air begs to differ, I'm sure, but he can go pound sand.

38% said the NHL should contract. That seems a little high. Interesting.

I'm not sure why I would be biased, but I am telling you that Kronner likes women. Not men.

A) He has a longtime girlfriend.
B) He's European. Compared to North Americans, they are all metro, wear nice clothing, drive nice cars, and most times, jeans are too casual to wear in public.
C) He's foreign, English isn't his first language. Plus, he doesn't talk gayly or have ANY mannerisms of a gay man.

A. Beard.
B. That's not part of my case, else I'd say all Euros are gay.
C. Understood, but it's not his accent, it's more the.... pitch? Sounds like a boy. I thought you had a good gaydar? You should know that it's mostly the flamboyantly gay who "speak gayly" (you mean with a lisp?) and have gay mannerisms. But not all gays are flamboyantly gay. Many don't have any of those characteristics.

Really I was just kidding about Kronwall. I don't believe he's gay. His fruity voice is irrelevant, Euros get married way later than Americans, and he may love to deliver big hits simply because.... he's a hockey player.

Gay mannerisms don't equal flamboyent. Anyhow, I've dragged fifty bajillion threads completely off topic, so before I get in any more trouble, I'm out.

We may be thinking of different mannerisms. Regardless, my point was just that not all gay people speak with a lisp and have gay mannerisms. Alright, topic over

Fugu, what do you think of this player's poll regarding Babcock? Are you ignoring this little tidbit?

EDIT: I see you made a comment about it in a GDT. Still, I think you got off too easy

No offense to Yemack, but there is no logic behind that statement, of course there are gay players in the NHL and in the NFL, MLB all of professional sports I'm sure.

Hello all, I'm a long time lurker, first time poster!
Anyways, regarding the "Meanest Fans" I just wanted to say that I went to game 7 of the 2nd round last year against Anaheim and the "Pronger Sucks" and "Hiiiiiiiiller" chants still ring in my head (awesome!). Also the "Crosby Sucks" from the last game we played against the Pens. Maybe that's what they were referencing? Not the worst I've heard by far... especially with the amount of OHL games I go to haha, and I think its awesome.. Also, its important to look at the percentage that actually voted for them, and it's only 4%

Who cares if Kronner is gay?

I would rather Stuart be gay if that means he would get his head out of his ass defensively.

Gays, homosexuals, don't care, political correctness can go pound sand. That said, since when is "gays" not PC? Gay people I know don't mind the term.

By the way, "black" is still not acceptable in many places. I've been given dirty looks for using that term. A lot of people still prefer "African American," a term which I refuse to use.

And I'll get on the phone with LGBT organizations! They're so behind the times, apparently.
