To have a real number 1 goalie. It is not that stupid for the sens...

Wow. That's a close one. Depends on how you see Komisarek, I guess. If you think he's the next Derian Hatcher, no way; if you think he's the next Luke Richardson, sure, go for it.

Personally, though, if I were to trade Theo, it wouldn't be to ANYONE in the East, no matter who I was getting back. Watching Roy enjoy a hall-of-fame second half of his career on the Avs was bad enough. Imagine if it were on the Leafs or the Bruins.

I'd jump all over that in a heartbeat. I doubt this is true, Chara is possibly the best D in the League and Hossa is one of the top wingers in the game.

True, but if Chara was standing in front of the net, any Goalie behind him would look good enough to forget Theodore.

Then why would Ottawa need Theo at all?

Chara can only play 25-30 minutes a game; that's the problem. That's why Sens fans are rooting for the Flames right now instead of their own team.

this makes no sense for the senators. Theodore could not get either Chara or Hossa 1 for 1 and Zednik/Komisarek together couldnt either. Your talking about top 5 players in the league in their respective positions on a team that is willing to keep them for a run for the stanley cup. No sense at all and not equal value, far from it.

Clouts wont be back in Vancouver, I would rather trade with a team from the other conference, if, again if, we decide to trade one of our goalies. From what I heard on some radio stations here in Vancouver, they might try to move Jovo to get a no 1 goalie. Thoughts?

Even though we're not giving up much, Havlat was ridiculously disappointing this year...he was so invisible in the playoffs it made me cringe.

Zednik for Hossa is a huge win for Montreal obviously...Koivu and Hossa? Damn...Chara is a great D but it remains to be seen if he can keep up his progress and I am also afraid that Theo will dominate with whatever team he goes to if we trade him.

it wasn't a rumor i made it up:
-----------------------
i'm just bored so i make a proposal...what do you thing about:

theodore+zednik+komisarek for hossa+chara?

theodore - the vezina vinner (2002), he hesn't been the same since, however when he plays his play he's the the best player out there
zednik - the best habs scorer recently, sometimes selfish, inconsistence imo
komisarek - many (including myself) believe he has all the tools to become top 10 d-man in nhl, big, strong, physical, stay-at-home-defencman

hossa - imo top 10 forward in nhl, extremly fast, 40+ gol scorer
chara - norris candidate (he should get it) the strongest man in nhl and the best d-man in present days

all of them are still young

personaly as a hab fan i would do it. would ottawa give up their two best payers? would or wouldn't you guys do that?

If the Nucks offered that I'd do it in a heartbeat. The only problem with trading Theo is we have zero insurance policy in case Garon falters. If Van would throw in Hedberg as well(probably not) I would not think twice before signing.

This trade simply makes no sense whatsoever.
sure everyone likes hossa and chara, but komisarek and zednk are not chump change either, and the MOMENT you trade away your starting goalie away you can kiss being competative goodbye. And thats how you know this trade is garbage, Gainey would never move Theodore unless he was getting a Stud goalie back.

I'm not saying it is impossible for sens to trade with habs, but I'm just saying that I heard from a source(I will not reveal) that Sens are not interested in anyone from the habs. THIS IS WHAT I HEARD, ITS NOT A FACT!

Just before the deadline Pedneault said that the Sens were highly interested in Rivet but he was just not on the market..
